The Purpose

To provide Football Analysis support to the Manchester United’s Foundation and Youth phases. Integral to this purpose will be the collation of learning materials and design and delivery of appropriate feedback; as well as collaboration with other support services and departments as directed. This will involve the utilisation of leading hardware and software products to provide a comprehensive service to the coaching staff, players and football analysis department and any other party as agreed by HOAP.

The Role

Key responsibilities

To help design, produce & deliver a fun, engaging, age-appropriate educational experience for our U9-U14 aged boys.
Build great relationships with key staff.
Capture valuable content to enhance the learning journey within the Academy.
Work with casual support staff to coordinate the filming, coding, and storage of content.
Upon request, support the delivery of analysis feedback using a range of oral, written, visual, and video-based communications. Innovative ideas and a demonstration of initiative to add value.
The efficient and accurate collation and storage of footage and data as requested, using a range of leading-edge technologies.
The preparation of department specific feedback to help inform the decision-making process of the academy management team

The Person

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

An upper second-class B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Sports Science (or equivalent).
A Masters level qualification in Performance Analysis is desired.
Relevant vocational qualifications and experience that provide an understanding of the technical and tactical demands of professional football.
Previous experience of having provided performance analysis support to a professional football club.
Excellent organizational skills and an ability to work with total discretion.
Experience in using performance analysis systems and software.
Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft office or similar packages.
Ability to work on own initiative, unsupervised and as an effective team member.
The ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner and practical approach to problem solving.
A willingness to work flexible hours in accordance with the demands of the role
A commitment to driving forwards continuous improvement in their working environment.
Sound personal qualities such as communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, self-motivation, enthusiasm, and ability to work under pressure.
The successful candidate should exhibit pride in performance and possess high standards in the provision of service to Manchester United’s internal and external customers.
Full driving license.
