Job Description
An extremely exciting opportunity has arisen as we have a vacancy for a Youth Football Co-ordinator.

Reporting to our Football Development Manager (Youth), the Youth Football Co-Ordinator ensures the development, co-ordination and delivery of integrated programmes aimed at increasing participation in football at the foundation years. They will also work with local clubs and coaches to deliver workshops aimed at improving their youth structure, while also supporting, pursuing and implementing Gibraltar FA strategies.Are you interested?
Ensuring the development, co-ordination and delivery of integrated programmes aimed at increasing participation in football at the foundation years.
Co-ordinate the collection and management of all the necessary information for team registration for youth leagues.
Review training delegate records for appropriate use of training allocations by clubs for attendance, category using the allocation, and number of participants.
Ensure that the agreed rules of the game are consistently applied liaising with referee observer where required.
Ensure that delegates perform their functions consistently and appropriately.
Ensure the smooth running of the Youth leagues and other competitions being available and present during these competitions.
Ensure communications channels to all youth stake holders are up and running and fully operational working with the Operations Officer and Assistant.
Run and oversee Play Without Pressure, Summer Camps and UEFA Grassroots week as agreed with Youth & EYDP Manager and Youth Development Officer (collaboration with WDM and veterans).
Allocating, communicating and overall management of early years football.
Oversee and manage the youth recreational programs.
Ensure and promote the principal of “football for all” that underlies the Gibraltar FAs strategy.
Act as Gibraltar FA Child and Youth Protection Officer point of contact.
Oversee Gibraltar FA girls teams registration management.
Run youth girls formats as agreed with Youth & EYDP Manager, Youth Development Officer and Football Development Manager (Women’s).
Oversee the work of the Youth Referee Co-ordinator who will organise timetables for the youth referees. Liaise with stake holders for the provision of refereeing services to all Youth competitions. Liaise with clubs and referee recruitment.
Work with local clubs and coaches delivering workshops to help improve their youth structure.
Assist with the auditing of relevant licensing and other club development criteria.
Review delegate feedback to ensure follow up actions to continue improvement of youth formats.
Weekend work during season competitions and occasional evening weekday work.
Provide Input into
Collecting, analysing, and disseminating information on participation of the youth league.
Support the Youth Development Manager in conducting research into the causes and triggers of non-participation and “drop-off”, making use of this information in forming new programmes and strategies.
Support the Youth Development Manager innovating for the needs of the foundation game and planning for piloting the new approaches.
Player, coaching and medical information management according to the Gibraltar FA procedures.
Identifying gaps or overlaps in Gibraltar FA services and putting forward recommendation to improve the effectiveness of the service.
Ensure use of all collaboration tools appropriate to your role.
Help maintain good liaison with schools and the Department of Education in general.
Overseeing the implementation of agreed plans in accordance with targets.
Assisting in the marketing and exposure of the programmes available from the Gibraltar FA in order to Increase public awareness of the Gibraltar FA’s role in foundation and youth participation and the new services and approaches being developed.
Supporting, pursuing and implementing Gibraltar FA strategies.
Maintaining the highest standards of attitude and behaviour as the Gibraltar FA defines in its codes of conducts for all personnel and stake holders involved in football
