Position Purpose
The Youth ; Pre-Professional Expansion Manager will be instrumental in facilitating and leading the exciting growth for all youth and pre-professional properties within United Soccer League. This role will be responsible for identifying, fostering, and acquiring new member clubs for the Super Y League, USL Academy, USL League Two and the newly formed USL W League. This role will involve significant opportunities to represent USL to external individuals and organizations which will require a high level of interpersonal professionalism.

Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Source and vet prospective members for USL youth and pre-professional properties.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective, incoming, and current youth and pre-professional member clubs.
Research potential expansion markets for USL youth and pre-professional properties.
Facilitate and manage a significant number of expansion communications (phone, email etc.) to prospective member clubs.
Track and manage a sales pipeline for each USL youth and pre-professional league.
Support and lead each youth and pre-professional league expansion strategies.
Acquire and maintain a deep awareness of the trends and opportunities that exist within the US soccer landscape.
Prepare and present expansion presentations for external stakeholders and USL leadership.
Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.


Bachelor degree in business administration, sport management, or similar highly preferred.
3-5 years of robust sales and business development experience, preferably in the soccer industry.
High level of knowledge about youth ; pre-professional soccer within the US required.
Proven track record of sales and business development success.
Capable of leading financially valuable calls and presentations.
Strong presentation skills required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members, executives, member clubs, and external partners.
Ability to work independently in a multi-faceted, fast, fluid, and deadline-driven environment.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic a must.
Ability to work as business needs require which may include long days, evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel if / when necessary.
Must have U.S. work authorization.
