Role description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Intention
Improve and increasing the performance and behaviour of the players and team according to the Long-term development plan of the federation.
Main tasks
Assisting the head coach at training session, matches and guiding the players of his appointed team.
Participate to other activity if the management is asking for (scouting activity’s, club visits, workshops, coaching courses, coaching at future teams.)
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the team coach the assistant coach works independently at the training session and assists independently at matches.
The assistant coach is responsible for the atmosphere in his team that the players can develop themselves in a natural way.
The assistant coach is responsible for executing (or parts) of the training sessions according to the given plan or given instructions of the head coach.
The assistant coach assists the team coach with the player’s evaluations and player follow system.
The assistant coach is reporting the performance of the players during matches and training sessions to the head coach.
Duties
At training sessions
Give Coaching independent at:
Organization
Organize and coach (part of the) training à w-up, core 1, core 2, game.
Coaching the team according to the opposite team organization.
Informs and involves players with executing the training session.
Controls and improves the performance of the players and team.
Give Plans and examples to the team.
At matches
Executing the match warming up, gives the head coach the opportunity to observe the players.
Support in administration tasks.
Record the matches with the camera.
Do the warming up with the substitute players during the match.
Analyze the match with specific topics which are being given by the head coach. For example, “a player or line”.
Supports the head coach at the team activity before the match. To guide the players. (Lunch, traveling etc.)
Support the head coach in the evaluation
Guidance of players
Stimulate sportive and fair play.
Motivate, correct, and stimulate players in a positive way according to the JFA values.
Informs the players what was good and what needs to improve.
Controls safety and hygiene of the players.
Can be a trust person for players or parents if they want to express their inconvenience about a certain topic.
Reports to head coach
Qualification
AFC-B where the coach will follow the AFC-A during his contract period.
Experience
2 years as coach in a professional organization.
As player (youth) in professional football.
As sport instructor at school is an advantage.
Skills and knowledge
Computer skills
Able to give a technical example on the field.
Leadership skills and ability to influence and make change.
Communication skills.
Pedagogy skills, how to deal with children.
Basic knowledge of English.
