The Women's Teams Operations Manager will work closely with the International Operations Manager to manage the smooth day to day operation of International Team Operations, with a specific focus and responsibility for our Women’s Teams. They will ensure that all logistical, operational, fiscal and administrative aspects across all women’s international teams is planned and delivered to the highest standards. This will include direct line management of Team Operations Coordinators working with each of those teams.
Additionally, the Women's Teams Operations Manager will lead the organisation and delivery of the team operations function for the Women’s National Team and ensure all aspects of team activity are delivered in line with your best practice principles. This will involve working closely with the Head Coach and implementing a project management approach to camp planning.
They will also play a key role in the broader management of the department by helping to ensure there are clear processes and procedures in place that detail all elements of team operations and that the department staff, who work directly with teams, have the knowledge, skills, systems and support to deliver it. Close budgetary management is also a critical part of this role along with maintaining close and cooperative working relationships with International Teams’ Managers and the Football Department.
The role will involve significant domestic and international travel, both in preparation for and during team camps.
Women’s National Team
Lead the planning, organisation and delivery of all aspects of Team Operations for the Women’s National Team.
Develop project plans for all team activity and ensure all tasks are completed on time and to the necessary standards. Similarly, develop operational plans to support the smooth delivery of in-camp operations.
Manage and work closely with the Women’s National Team Operations Coordinator
Plan and coordinate the annual schedule for the WNT, inclusive of attending draws and arranging friendlies in conjunction with Head Coach.
Undertake site visits to all match and training venues, hotels, and airports.
Work closely with all backroom team members in the delivery of their functions and provide support as required.
Oversee all equipment ordering, shipping and logistics, ensuring on time delivery and that all customs requirements are met.
Coordinate and arrange the required operational support for visiting teams
Develop a detailed knowledge of all relevant UEFA and FIFA rules and regulations
Liaise with UEFA, FIFA, Clubs and other Associations with regards to International competitions and administration.
Ensure all other elements of team operations are delivery to the highest standards.
Women’s Underage National Team’s Support
Oversee the scheduling, planning and project management of all Women’s Underage international fixtures
Oversee the financial management all women’s international teams ensuring all activity is delivered within budget.
Assist in the ongoing development of policies and procedures across all aspects of international operations and ensure adherence across all women’s international activities
Conduct regular reviews of direct reports’ performance across a range of performance measures
Work closely with the Football Department to ensure close cooperation and the implementation of a high-performance culture across team operations
Maintain in-house knowledge database of international caps, team and player records.
Assists in the management of player eligibility cases
Liaise with other relevant Departments to ensure communication of information for all departmental activities including announcement of fixtures, team announcements, issues and results
Prepare and complete regular reports on international activity for the Director of International Operations, FAI Senior Leadership Team and the FAI Board
Any other such duties that may be assigned from time to time by the International Operations Manager and the Director of Operations.
Attend underage UEFA Women’s Draws. Attend and negotiate fixture planning and hosting of mini tournaments on behalf of the FAI.
