"Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the 27th club in January 2019. In June 2021, Austin FC began play in the new, 100% privately financed, $260 million, state-of-the-art Q2 Stadium in Austin. Opened in 2021, St. David’s Performance Center serves as the Official Training Facility of Austin FC.  Located at the Parmer Pond in North Austin, just seven miles from Q2 Stadium, the $45-million, privately financed, 23-acre complex is now the training home of Austin FC’s first team, Austin FC Academy teams and future home of Austin FC’s MLS NEXT Pro Team.We are actively seeking a Video Analyst Intern to join Austin FC II, Austin FC’s MLS NEXT Pro Team in its 2023 inaugural season.    In this internship, you will gain valuable exposure to a professional environment  by filming training sessions and games while working with coaches to build out video libraries. You will also gain experience in video editing, creating animations, learning the Austin FC style of play, and help coaches and players utilize film as a learning tool. There will be opportunities to collaborate with Austin FC First Team & Academy Analysts.  Are You Someone That:·        Is passionate about filming and sports?·        Is interested in finding tactical insights to help develop players?·        Wants to learn and develop game video review skills with a team of highly experienced coaches?·        Enjoys working as a positive team player to meet goals? ·        Is agile and able to respond effectively to the changing needs of a fast-paced growing organization?  You Will:·        Assist in filming Austin FC II practices and games using VEO cameras and drones; and·        Learn how to break down film clips and tag video live and post-game; and·        Collaborate with Austin FC II coaches to build out video presentations related to club philosophies and assist with scouting upcoming opposition; and·        Work with the Analysis staff to distribute video to coaching staff and players; and ·        Breakdown and archive training for Austin FC II team; and·        Gain exposure to high level soccer players and coaches; and·        Attend all home games through the duration of the Internship; and·        Work with First Team Analysis staff on projects related to club-wide philosophies as needed. You Have:·        Experience filming sports at a high level·        Demonstrated knowledge of identifying tactical trends·        Experience with video analysis software is beneficial, including Hudl Pro Suite, Spiideo,Coach Paint, Metrica, VEO·        Demonstrated interest with game analysis and performance analysis·        High level of communication skills with different groups of people·        Demonstrated experience and knowledge of team sports. Soccer experience is preferable·        High ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion·        Ability to learn to fly a drone·        Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.
