Nature of Work:

The Video Analyst Intern is responsible for assisting in the provision of team and individual performance analysis for the first team of Colorado Rapids.



Examples of work performed:

Filming and analyzing match footage and providing meaningful intelligence for coaching staff efficiently and accurately
Supporting coaching staff for Colorado Rapids’ home matches and away matches as advised by First Team Analyst
Supporting the team in training and providing specific analysis to coaches and sports scientists as directed
Supporting the opponent preparation process for Colorado Rapids’ matches through video and data analysis, ensuring opposition documents are prepared before deadline
Supporting in the individual analysis for Colorado Rapids’ players and opposition players
Managing and maintaining all analysis equipment, ensuring safe utilization
Analyzing matches to criteria agreed upon by the First Team Analyst, and producing desired video footage and statistics
Creating statistical player and team reports and organizing them into meaningful intelligence for coaches and players efficiently and accurately
Producing and/or attending meetings, conferences and other associated events as directed by the Club
Assisting in creating a digital library of training sessions, matches, and data using analysis software
Assisting coaching staff with other tasks where necessary
Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekend, and holidays

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Performance Analysis, Sports Science, Data Science, or related area of study.
Knowledge, understanding and experience in the use of performance analysis in improving team performance. Demonstrated experience with technology and digital media. Familiarity with creating and editing video content

Demonstrated experience with technology and digital equipment
Demonstrated experience with filming videos for football games using a camcorder and/or a camera
Demonstrated experience with video editing software such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere, iMovie, etc
Demonstrated experience with match analysis software such as Sportscode, Hudl, Angles, Prozone, OPTA, Wyscout, InStat, etc
Demonstrated experience with telestration software such as Chyronhego Coachpaint, Metrica Play, Hudl Studio, etc
Extensive knowledge of football
Previous experience as a Performance (Video) Analyst in a football environment
Previous experience with filming videos using Drones
Previous coaching experience in a football environment


Education/Experience –

Bachelor’s degree in Performance Analysis, Sports Science, Data Science, or related area of study.

Compensation

Based on qualifications and experience.

Salary -- $12.56
