Position Overview:
The Chicago Fire Football Club is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Video & Creative Services Coordinator with a background in visual storytelling and creative media. The individual in this role will assist with the development and production of video content, with an emphasis on creating for social media and digital marketing. A successful candidate will have experience across a variety of areas including pre-production, shooting, sound, editing, and post-production (color, motion, encoding, etc.), and also show a demonstrated ability to edit across multiple platforms. The candidate will work within the larger marketing and communications departments to engage both existing and prospective fans with the goal of driving fandom and delivering on business objectives.

Responsibilities:
Assist with every facet of video and creative services including ideating unique concepts, developing production plans, gathering input from stakeholders, scheduling, filming, and post-production work
Assist with producing short-form video edits designed specifically to stop fans in their scroll on social media
Assist in the production of long-form documentary series around the first team players and staff
Assist in the production and editing of videos designed for the stadium and other in-house productions
Capture footage of Chicago Fire matchdays and training sessions
Assist with shooting and editing press conferences, player interviews, highlight reels, community relations events, and sales and marketing activations
Help ideate and create content that organically weaves in corporate partner messaging and objectives to create value for the sponsor, the club, and the fanbase
Produce advertising materials for paid social, broadcast, and out of home with the goal of driving interest in attending and watching Fire matches
Story tell around all aspects of the club, from the players to the fans to the complete matchday experience at Soldier Field
Log and archive clips to facilitate future accessibility
Ensure adherence to brand standards and guidelines
Transport, set up, and operate various production equipment including cameras, audio recorders, lighting equipment and microphones for location and studio production
Cover select road matches, providing real-time footage transfers to remote editors
Contribute to the marketing team’s overall strategy and success in both team and cross-department meetings
Provide creative thinking to help solve business problems for a variety of stakeholders

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in video editing, film production, or a related field required
Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience in video production; undergrad experience in college athletics is accepted
For consideration, candidates must submit a website/portfolio/reel that displays examples of previous work
Experience with Digital Cine and DSLR camera operations
Demonstrated experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud on Mac devices, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects
Familiarity with photography and ability to shoot photos when needed
Proven ability to interact and brainstorm concepts within a team setting
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when needed
Well organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Great communicator, professional in presentation, and able to work with multiple stakeholders and personalities
Good problem-solving and organizational skills
Working knowledge of soccer and familiarity with Major League Soccer
Capable of lifting 50 lbs
Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
