POSITION SUMMARY:Houston Dynamo FC is seeking candidates to join the Marketing team as the Vice President of Marketing. This leadership role will help develop the strategic marketing plan, lead execution and measurement of growth marketing initiatives, loyalty and audience development strategy and oversee the implementation of brand standards, vision, strategy and voice across the organization. The Vice President of Marketing will work closely with the integrated Marketing team, as well as other key departments across the organization, ensuring the Club’s brand values and narrative are infused and celebrated in all we do. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist the CMO in developing, planning, implementing, managing, analyzing, and budgeting the annual marketing plans to generate revenue, audience growth and engagement.Partner with the Business Intelligence team to cultivate consumer insights to identify target audiences, build consumer journeys and inform development and delivery of marketing plans and programs to establish, track and grow customer lifetime value.Lead strategic planning and execution of growth marketing initiatives, including performance marketing, merchandise and licensing, and youth soccer programs to build customer engagement and meet revenue goals.Develop key relationships with MLS and NWSL counterparts to leverage league assets and research to inform strategic planning, analysis, and reporting.Own, optimize and drive paid, owned and earned media mix, setting strategy to drive consumer awareness, acquisition, retention and partner with peers to integrate across marketing department.Collaborate with Senior Director Content and Creative on development of digital ecosystem and multi-channel marketing content strategies to feed social media, website, email marketing, mobile app, SMS, and paid media.Support Marketing Director in implementation of brand standards across organization, ensuring all creative executions meet brand standards and brand voice.Oversee merchandise and licensing strategy, partner relations and program executions, ensuring offerings accurately reflect brand identities and voice, inspire and serve target audiences and deliver against revenue targets.Supervise youth development program (camps, skills sessions and other training experiences), working with program lead to build out consumer journey, deliver positive sentiment with participants and optimize current and future revenue opportunities. Develop and effectively manage budgets across department and projects.Timely measurement and reporting of initiative effectiveness and success through various tools and analytics.Manage around four direct reports and team of six.Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement; develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach. Responsible for performance appraisals and development goals of direct reports.Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, ideally in marketing or other business focused fieldMinimum ten years related experience and/or training in marketing, brand management, or other related field; minimum four years experience managing and leading individuals and/or teamExperience optimizing marketing channels, both traditional and digitalProven success leading and managing media planning, website management, email marketing and/or advertising campaignsHighly data driven, with experience in reporting on key success metrics, analyzing trends, and making data-driven recommendations Excellent communication (written, verbal and visual) skillsMust be available/able to work evenings and/or weekendsPrior experience in sports industry strongly preferred SKILLS, ABILITIES & OTHER ATTRIBUTES: Demonstrated ability to deliver results through collaboration and build consensus among stakeholders throughout the organizationAdaptability and ability to see the audience perspective; understanding of diverse and multi-cultural audiences preferredAbility to multitask and prioritize with urgency within a fast-paced environment with often competing prioritiesCommunicate and work with all levels of employees and partners, both internally and externally, demonstrating expertise and professionalismStrong interpersonal skills and be flexible in a dynamic team environmentAbility to coordinate efforts across departments and execute successful resultsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook *We are an equal opportunity employer.
