Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the League’s 27th club in January 2019. In June 2021, Austin FC began play in the new, 100% privately financed, $260 million, state-of-the-art Q2 Stadium.  4ATX Foundation is the nonprofit arm of Austin FC. Since its launch, 4ATX Foundation has been committed to using the power of soccer to build physically, socially, and emotionally healthy communities. From getting people playing by providing soccer scholarships and donating equipment, to restoring and building new soccer pitches, to building the next generation of leaders through Verde Leaders, 4ATX Foundation increases opportunities for Central Texans to thrive.  Verde Leaders, the feature program of 4ATX Foundation, provides free year-round soccer and educational programming for youth from low-income neighborhoods in order to help them find personal and academic success.   4ATX Foundation is seeking a driven and passionate Verde Leaders Program Coordinator who will help advance Verde Leaders’ work to provide high-quality out-of-school time programming across Central Texas. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of multiple Verde Leaders afterschool soccer sites, regularly liaise with a site’s primary stakeholders, and serve as both a role model and a coach for middle school students.  Are You Someone That:  ·        Wants to use the power of soccer to build thriving Central Texas communities? ·        Thrives in a dynamic environment split between the soccer field and an office?·        Likes working with youth?  ·        Is a problem-solver who can identify creative solutions?·        Brings high energy and motivates others?  ·        Loves to play soccer and feels comfortable jumping into a practice?  You Will:  ·        Ensure Verde Leaders sites have the necessary equipment, resources, and staff to run a successful afterschool soccer session; and·        Work with school and community partners to ensure all requirements of a partnership are fulfilled; and·        Collect, track, and organize student data, including attendance, demographic information, and waiver completion; and·        Communicate updates and upcoming events with students and families through phone and social media; and·        Execute recruitment efforts at Verde Leaders sites to create awareness and register students for the program; and·        Serve as a Verde Leaders coach at school and community-based sites; and·        Help plan and facilitate activities at community-based programming on weekends, and during spring break and summer; and·        Work with the Verde Leaders team to develop age-appropriate curriculum that incorporates Social-Emotional Learning, Restorative Practices, and Mindfulness; and·        Assist with the initial training and ongoing professional development of Verde Leaders coaches; and·        Support the execution of 4ATX Foundation activations at Austin FC matchdays; and·        Help with the implementation of 4ATX Foundation initiatives, for example: equipment drives, monthly clinics, and other events.   You Have:·        Bachelor’s Degree·        Experience working with youth and coaching soccer is preferred·        Knowledge and/or familiarity with Restorative Practices, Mindfulness, and Social-Emotional Learning is preferred·        English and/or Spanish language proficiency is essential and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.
