About the job
The Role

We are looking for a UK Regional Network Lead (Remote/Field Based) to join our Football Intelligence team and lead and manage the South and South West Region and collect high quality football and player intelligence with a small team of Regional Player Assessors. You will be integral in ensuring the team are reporting on players across Emerging Talent, Breakthrough Talent and Senior level football who have the potential to play for our club or fit well within our recruitment strategy requirements.

In this exciting role, you'll provide valuable information that will aid decisions on player recruitment and you will utilise your expertise to support player pathway decisions and set ourselves and our players at all levels up for success.

Your day-to-day

Grow and develop our talent pools - you'll proactively build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of players in the South and Southwest Region through a high quality player assessment and player identification process
Lead by example - you will enthusiastically lead, inspire and coach a team, identifying learning and development opportunities and prioritising their growth
Keep our talent networks connected - you'll take pride in ensuring there's a constant flow of information between the Regional Network and the UK Network, and you'll regularly communicate with individuals, teams and stakeholders to ensure our people feel engaged and empowered
Oversee and manage budgets - you'll proudly work with senior colleagues to manage budgets and operations costs in relation to team expenses, contracts and payments
Play a key role in critical meetings - you will lead Regional meetings with team members and you'll proactively contribute to market evaluation meetings as required by our Emerging Talent Lead
Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of players - you will be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all elite players, promoting their wellbeing whilst maintaining professional boundaries
Attend games to assess potential talent - you'll enthusiastically attend matches to assess players and produce insightful profiles and reports that are consistent with the wider club
Build and maintain impactful external relationships - you will establish and foster strong relationships in the South and South West Region with fellow clubs and player representatives

What We Are Looking For

Knowledgable and credible expert - you're equipped with a thorough knowledge of key markets and players within the South and South West Region from U15s through to the breakthrough talent and you keep abreast of industry movements at all times
Track record of effective player recruitment - you have experience of working closely with Heads of Recruitment and Talent ID Leads to efficiently identify, attract and onboard players within the given age group
Comprehensive understanding of rules and regulations - you've got a firm grasp of all rules and regulations that govern player assessment and recruitment (FIFA, the FA, the Premier League and the Football League)
Inspirational leader - you come with vast experience of managing and motivating direct reports and you actively foster a high performance culture
Trusted teamplayer - you possess a knack for collaboration and proudly partner with colleagues across Academy Coaching, PDP Coaching and Football Analysis teams
Best-in-class external stakeholder management skills - you're well versed in establishing and nurturing winning external partnerships with players, their representatives and other clubs
