Future Girls Soccer United is a year-round sanctioned academy offering both a recreational stream and competitive pathway made up of U8-U13 teams. We are the only all-female-led soccer experience in the province of Ontario. Our players train in Oakville and play in the applicable Peel Region leagues plus travel for tournaments and festivals. Our coaches have a wide range of playing and coaching experience and qualifications obtained through the OSA Coaching Curriculum, National Team performances, Professional Team performances, and D1 and CIS collegiate play. Our mission since we started in 2015 is to make the girls the very best they can be, on and off the field.
FGSU COACHING STAFF ROLE: POSITION TITLE: U8-U13 Technical Coach POSITION STATUS: Part-time, Contract APPLICATION DEADLINE: Until position is filled START DATE: Immediate
Future Girls Soccer is seeking coaches with a competitive playing background who are passionate about soccer, are looking for a significant part-time career and understand the important physical and mental health benefits sports can bring to a girl's life. Technical coaches will coach in our Future Girls Soccer United Competitive Stream which is made up of teams from U8-U13. Technical staff will follow the LTPD Ontario Soccer Development Guidelines and train our players technical details, tactical details, fitness and respect for the game, the coaches and themselves. We will reimburse the right candidate for all hours spent completing the appropriate soccer levels as well as pay for the courses.
Qualifications should include:-Strong management and Leadership skills-Previous coach mentoring experience-Experience working with competitive/high-performance players-Valid driver’s license and accessibility to a vehicle-Police Check (Police Vulnerable Sector Check) o Eligible to work in Ontario-A passion for teaching and inspiring girls through soccer-A background in playing soccer(competitive-high level)-A vocal ability to communicate and lead a group of players and have presence-An energetic ability to motivate players through corrections and positive reinforcement-An unyielding passion for all things women's soccerResponsibilities will include:-Deliver and demonstrate the curriculum to soccer players-Offer corrections and encouragement-Work with other coaches to manage the session and players success of FGSU-Attend all training sessions-Ensure that all training follows the Ontario Soccer LTPD matrix guidelines-Select players suitable for the program in consultation with the team Technical Director-Prepare for and conduct practice sessions according to LTPD recommended curriculum,-Ensure sessions are conducted in a safe environment with appropriate equipment-Understand all actions must be conducted in the best interest of the player and parent-Support the vision and philosophy of the academy
