ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Soccer Club of Toronto (Club) is a registered not-for profit youth soccer club operating in Central Torontosince 1997. The Club now operates year-round with 2500 participants in its outdoorsummer program and a further1200 participantsin its winter program.
The Club is currently seeking Age Group Head Coaches who will be working alongside the club Technical Directordeveloping and overseeing the implementation of the Club LTPD Development Program, maximize the experience forplayers, assistant coaches andmembers ofthe Club.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and execute the SC Toronto identity, training methodology, and playing style- Coach during training sessions and games.- Lead and coordinate your pool of age group staff coaches.- Communicate with Technical Director and General Manager.- Create Seasonal Plan for development of players based on the 4-corner approach.- Ability to design, lead and implement training sessions based on the Age Group Curriculum- Provide direction and mentorship to the age group pool of staff coaches- Create and document all sessions plans using provided software.- Communicate with Age Group Pool Players/Parents throughout the year.- Scout the House League a minimum 2x per season- Support all Club Programs and Initiatives- Act as Member of the club Technical Staff.- Attend all Club Educational Events: Classroom and Field.- Attend all meetings with TD and other Age Group Head Coaches
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:- Minimum OSA Learn to Train (preferred ‘C’ License)- Understanding the OSA LTPD and how it affects player development planning- Strong interpersonal, communications (written and verbal) and presentation skills- Ability to relate to young players- Minimum of 3 years coaching competitive players- Ability to work some days, evenings and weekends
