Role description

To significantly contribute to the Sport Science Area's mission of optimizing player health and performance through an evidence-based approach, in the AS Roma U19 (Spring) and U18 men's teams.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:



Establish and maintain direct contact with the coaching staff for monitoring and controlling team activities through monitoring, analysis and possible adjustments of training load and recovery;


Establish and maintain a daily relationship with the coaching staff regarding player availability;


Provide feedback on the activity of evolving players;


Establish and maintain daily relationship with injured player recovery manager for load analysis and control;


Provide input on the organization and implementation of data visualizations according to the needs of the coaching staff, the staff of athletic trainers and medical staff;


Organize and manage: the evaluation test sessions, data collection, processing and analysis of the results and the meeting with the staff to explain the results;


Collaborate with the Department of Sport Science on scientific literature review;


Collaborate in scientific research studies promoted by the Performance and Sport Science areas approved by the Manager;


Check, on a daily basis and for all areas, the quality of data collection and their entry into the AS Roma System


 
NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS:



Degree in Sport and Movement Sciences,


Ability to use technologies used in football teams (GPS system, power platforms and other tools)


Proven experience in collecting, cleaning, analyzing and visualizing data


Proven experience in applied research


Proven experience in reading, analyzing and summarizing scientific literature


Excellent knowledge of the Italian language,


Basic knowledge of the English language.


Flexible hours and availability to travel (pick up) are required.


 
PREFERENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:



Master in Sports Science or in a directly associated field;


Enabling the role of athletic trainer of the FIGC
