"Reports to: Club Secretary / Stadium Operations Manager\nLocation: Squires Gate Training Ground, Blackpool\nHours: 25 hours per week – includes mornings, evenings & match days\nSalary: £12 per hour\n\nWho we are:\n\r\nBlackpool Football Club is an English Professional Association Football Club based in the seaside town of Blackpool, Lancashire.\n\r\nThe Club was founded in 1887 and has a very storied history, from being a founding member of the Lancashire League in 1889, rising to the Top-Flight of the Football League (the old First Division) in 1930, to winning the FA Cup in 1953 and being promoted to the Premier League in 2010 (becoming the first Club to gain promotion from every division of the Football League via the play-off system.)\n\r\nThe team are competing in the Championship, the second tier of the English Football League, having gained promotion from League One in 2020–21. The Club have played their home games at Bloomfield Road since 1901.\n\nJob Purpose: \n\r\nAs the Training Ground Site Supervisor, in conjunction with the Operations Team (based at Bloomfield Road), you will contribute to the high-quality maintenance, cleanliness and security of the Squires Gate training facility. Your role will be to ensure that the site is operational for Blackpool Football Club’s First Team and Development Squad to train.\n\r\nThe role is for 25 hours per week, for 52 weeks of the year. On a typical training day, the hours are 7.30am – 9.30am, returning to the Training Facility in the evenings to close down. Due to the nature of the Football Schedule, the successful candidate will be required to be highly flexible.\n\nKey Responsibilities and Duties:\n\nEnsure the Training Ground facilities are clean and ready for use, in line with Team Schedules.\nAgree and undertake the maintenance, repairs and cleaning of the buildings and site, providing details and timescales to the Stadium Operations Manager.\nTo highlight and undertake minor repairs and maintenance on an ‘as and when necessary basis’ to enable the facility is maintained in a state of good repair and to proceed with minimum disruption.\nIn conjunction with the Stadium Operations Manager, liaise with external contractors, if required, to ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.\nAssist with the supervision of the site and the maintenance and security of the buildings, ensuring good communication is kept between the Operations Team and Ground Staff (based at Bloomfield Road), should any issues need escalating.\nTo open the site buildings promptly in the morning, for First Team usage and ‘unset’ alarms, where necessary.\nTo lock the site doors, gates and set alarms, where necessary, to maximise the security of the grounds at all times and minimise the opportunities for vandalism.\nTo attend the premises when alarm is triggered, out of hours and liaise with Police, as necessary, to check windows are closed.\nBe first response in dealing with, or arranging to be dealt with, all burst pipes, leaks, flooding, fires, and breakages as appropriate. Escalate issues with the Stadium Operations Manager and liaise with contractors as directed.\nMaintain duplicate sets of keys for all rooms and equipment.\nEnsure Blackpool Football Club’s assets and equipment are securely stored and ready for use, as required.\nAssist the Kit Manager, as required.\nAny other reasonable duties as directed by the Club Secretary / Stadium Operations Manager.\n\r\nThe above job description is not intended to be exhaustive; the duties and responsibilities may therefore vary over time according to the changing needs of the club.\n\nQualifications\n\nGood level of literacy and numeracy.\n\nExperience\n\nPrevious experience in a similar role.\n\nKnowledge & Skills \n\nAbility to alert Management to unsafe practices.\nAbility to undertake risk assessments in relation to premises function.\nAn understanding of Health & Safety and security issues.\nExcellent attention to detail and works to high standard.\nAbility to use range of tools/cleaning equipment relevant to post.\n\nPersonal Qualities\n\nA flexible approach to work, including willingness to work split shifts.\nA self-motivated, dedicated individual that wants can ensure the highest standards are maintained at the Training Ground Facility.\nAbility to work with minimum supervision.\nGood initiative, enthusiasm, problem-solving approach to new challenges.\nHave good communication skills and be a trusted member of Blackpool FC.\nDemonstrates honesty, integrity, reliability, and the ability to always ensure confidentiality.\nGood organisational, time management skills and can prioritise your workload.\nWillingness to undertake personal development and training."
