The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of the MCFC IT Team which is responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining the IT systems to a high standard. The role will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administration tasks for the IT team in order to support them on new and existing projects

Your Impact

Software Licensing - The role will play a key part in ensuring that MCFC systems are licensed correctly. Key systems that will be in scope are Microsoft 365 and Adobe, so experience with these systems is essential. You will also be expected to use existing IT tools to identify any areas where licenses are not being used and maintain this as required.



System Administration - Managing user accounts, in particular new starters, leavers and transfers. Liaising with HR and line managers, to ensure the starter process is running effectively and that the correct software and hardware is made available. Ensuring access to IT systems and applications is removed from all leavers and their accounts are closed on the day they leave.



Hardware Management - Managing the supply of new hardware including laptops, Apple macs, mobile phones and consumables. Ensuring that devices are returned as close to the end of their lease date as possible whilst working with the Service Desk team to achieve this. Organising the removal of any electronic waste from IT storerooms and working with the wider IT team to ensure that they are kept in an appropriate state.



Contract Management - Liaising with the wider Technology team Legal on contracts and renewals, ensuring that they are processed within the required timeframe.



Purchase Management - Raise purchase orders for the IT team, getting approval from the heads of departments as required. Liaising with Finance to ensure that purchase orders are raised in adequate time. Using approved IT suppliers, ensure that we are getting best value when purchasing.



Mobile Phone Contract Admin Run regular reports on the mobile phone contract identifying excessive usage. Also use the reports to identify any devices that are underused, ensuring we are operating in the most cost-effective manner.

What we are looking for
Essential


Minimum 1 years experience in an IT position
Minimum 2 years experience in an admin role
Excellent level of customer service
Demonstratable experience of following policies and procedures in a consistent manner
Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
Demonstrate security conscious practices
Good operational knowledge of Office 365 administration
Experience of building relationships with third parties and suppliers
Experience of system administration for business applications


Desirable


Knowledge of Service Management processes e.g. ITIL
Experience of creating supporting documentation
Experience of using an IT Service Management tool
Experience of contract renewals and liaising with both suppliers and legal teams
Understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing
