ROLE DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join the Scouting and Recruitment Department Norwich City Football Club in the role of Technical Scout. Reporting to the Head of Technical Scouting, the Technical Scout will be responsible for conducting extensive video scouting, reporting, and analysis on potential target players in collaboration with the Positional Scouts and Football Analytics Department to support the player identification and assessment process.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Conduct extensive video scouting & analysis to support the player identification & assessment process.
· Generate scouting reports on potential target players.
· Manage positional scouting lists to prioritise & monitor players from senior & emerging talent markets.
· Create and maintain video databases on potential target players.
· Create detailed videos, dossiers & presentations on target players.
· Collaborate with the Football Analytics Department on the development & application of data analytics.
· Collate, manage & co-ordinate scouting information & market intelligence.
· Work in collaboration with the Positional Scouts to ensure efficient market coverage.
· To act in a manner that supports the Club’s Values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment
Knowledge and Experience:
· Extensive experience working within professional football in a Technical Scouting role or similar.
· Broad knowledge of domestic and international markets.
· Demonstrable Tactical/Technical football knowledge and understanding.
· Completed or working towards a FA Talent Identification qualification is desirable.
· Proficient in the use of industry leading video analysis tools such as Wyscout, Catapult Matchtracker/Focus & CoachPaint.
· Video Editing and Presentation skills.
· Experience of applying data to support player identification and assessment process.
