Role description

The Team Operations Coordinator is an essential member of the Team Administration department. This position will manage all aspects and functions of club commercial travel and assist the Director of Team Administration and General Manager in a wide range of functions and administrative work related to Soccer Operations. This position is critical to the smooth functioning of Real Salt Lake, Monarchs, RSL Academy, Front Office, and Scouting Department. This position is the face of our club to several outside organizations and will be required to continuously foster and manage those relationships. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are critical to the success of this position. The incumbent will work closely with the team staff and club personnel on a daily basis.

Responsibilities Include

Manages commercial flight needs for the organization but especially RSL, Monarchs, Academy, Soccer Ops, and Scouting Departments.
Maintains log of frequent flyer numbers, player and staff passports, etc.
Books hotels and rental cars as necessary for trialists, new players, club guests, etc at the direction of Team Administrators & General Manager
Assists General Manager and Director of Team Administration with processes and paperwork related, but not limited to Immigration, FIFA TMS, training compensation, budgeting, etc.
Other duties consistent with the position may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Reliable transportation and a valid Class C Driver’s License that must be maintained as a condition of employment
Outstanding organization and time-management skills
Strong work ethic with the ability to respectively and diplomatically work with diverse personalities
Ability to remain calm under pressure with the aptitude to adjust to changes
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Proficient computer skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of Sports Administration, Travel Agency, or Business Management experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Physical & Environmental Requirements

The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 5 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 10 pounds or exerting heavy force in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing etc.
