The People department is based at Arsenal Football Club's headquarters at Highbury House but holds a presence across all club sites i.e. the stadium, retail operation, community hub, the Club's training ground in London Colney, and the Academy in Hale End.
The department is the central driving force behind the Club's culture change, engagement and ED&I initiatives, and is heavily focused on developing and fostering our target culture and behaviours to improve organisational engagement and performance, as well as the delivery of customer-focused generalist human resources.
As our standalone in-house subject matter expert on recruitment, the Talent Acquisition Manager will take a lead role in developing and harnessing our employer brand, with the ultimate aim of increasing our candidate reach, meeting or exceeding our equality and diversity ambitions, undertaking selected proactive searches and reducing our third-party agency spend.
Work closely with Brand Marketing and Communications departments to establish employer brand which reflects the club's inclusive values and diversity ambitions.
Act as guardian of all recruitment processes and platforms (e.g. Arsenal Career pages, LinkedIn), ensuring a consistent tone of voice in all advertisements and recruitment information.
Collaborate with L&D Manager and People Services to ensure a great candidate experience for all candidates and a successful onboarding process which completes the recruitment cycle and maximises employee engagement.
Devise inclusive advertising methods in a bespoke way, drawing from ED&I Manager and People Business Partner knowledge to ensure an appropriate fit across the multitude of different departments and professions contained within our Club.
Assist department managers with selected recruitment processes, providing selection and interview support as required, and identifying robust alternatives to recruitment agencies by performing direct searches.
Form relationships with educational and community institutions to increase the volume and the diversity of our talent pipeline.
Act as system super-user for our ATS (Team Taylor), managing front end look and feel. Provide support on back-end user issues and relationships with suppliers.
Establish and manage supplier relationships with third party recruitment agencies, platforms and jobs boards, ensuring consistent T&Cs and controlling overall spend.
Direct and monitor recruitment agency performance, and in particular ensure their practices are fully inclusive and representative of our employer brand and culture.
Organise and input into regular employee training on safe, fair and inclusive recruitment practices, working in conjunction with L&D Manager for delivery, and consulting the ED&I Manager and Head of Safeguarding for specialist content.
Work with ED&I Manager to identify, research and deliver new recruitment methods, ensuring we are at the forefront of inclusive and best practices.
Perform regular reports related to recruitment, ranging from regular turnover reports to supporting ED&I Manager with candidate ED&I data for Football Leadership Diversity Code and other in-house tracking.
Analyse and interpret recruitment data and recommend changes as required.
Collaborate seamlessly with the wider People Team, in particular People Services, People Partners, ED&I and L&D, to ensure an aligned approach that takes into consideration the complexity of our business.
MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
Robust industry experience as an in-house recruitment professional.
A robust network within the recruitment industry.
Prior experience in an in-house recruitment role and managing employer brand/attraction mechanisms.
Demonstrable experience and success with the development and implementation of inclusive recruitment policies and processes which radically increase candidate diversity.
Experience acting as key point of contact for third party relationships, including tenders and T&C negotiations.
Experience using and harnessing ATS system capabilities to maximise engagement, reach and diversity.
Experience identifying and interpreting recruitment data to inform key decisions.
Proven track record of identifying and increasing talent pipelines in innovative ways, and in particular increasing reach to improve diversity of shortlists and appointments.
Experience using LinkedIn recruiter and proactive searches.
An interest in football and sport (essential); experience within the sporting industry (desirable).
