ROLE DESCRIPTION

Camp Laurel is a traditional, residential camp located in the Belgrade Lakes region of Maine. Our 500 campers are between the ages of 7 and 15 and all join us for one full-summer session. Our 300+ seasonal staff come from 35+ states and 15+ countries each summer. We are looking for an experienced, organized, and fun Soccer Director for the 2024 summer.Responsibilities

Program Development

Design and implement a comprehensive Soccer program that caters to a diverse range of skill levels and ages.
Develop a curriculum that focuses on skill enhancement, fundamental understanding, and overall player development.
Integrate fun and engaging activities to keep campers excited about Soccer.


Coaching and Instruction

Lead daily Soccer clinics and drills, providing hands-on instruction to campers.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and individual growth.
Tailor coaching strategies to individual camper needs.


Staff Management

Oversee and develop a team of qualified Soccer counselors.
Provide ongoing support to staff members, promoting a collaborative coaching approach.


Camp Events and Tournaments

Organize and coordinate our Bec Soccer League and other special events throughout the summer.
Coordinate games and tournaments against other nearby camps.
