SG1 Soccer Club located in Katy, Texas, was established in 2012 and is a full-service competitive club offering a wide-ranging number of programs and competitions. From a youth Academy program to traveling college showcase teams and much more, SG1 is one of the premier options for players in the Katy and Houston area. SG1 has quality training facilities, experienced and licensed coaches and several outlets for competition that will challenge players of all levels. In a few short years, SG1 has been a key club in the improvement of the club soccer experience in the South Texas area.

SG1 is currently seeking Staff Coaches to extend our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who has the passion of soccer, wants to be part of a family-oriented environment and opportunity to grow with us!

JOB TITLE: Staff Coach

STATUS: Full Time & Part Time

REPORS TO: Technical Director

EMPLOYMENT PERIOD: July through May - 10 Months

PAY RATE: Based on Experience


Coach up to three (3) Teams and/or Age Pools
Fill in as a coach for various teams as needed for team coverage
Plan sessions and season goals, organize, implement and promote club events including season tryouts, evaluations, team formation, roster development and player movement, etc.
Report weekly to Age Director on player development and movement
Provide player evaluations twice per year
Attend all staff meeting and workshops
Must coach minimum two (2) Club Camps per year
Futsal Experience a plus
Must be able to work evenings and weekends
Attend all other club events when required such as Annual Banquet, Club Day, Open House, Team Meetings, etc.


Minimum USSF "C" License
Must be highly organized
Min 2 yrs. experience
Knowledge of college recruiting process, a plus
Experience in Microsoft Office/ Mac Numbers, pages etc.
Hold a recognized coaching qualification
Must pass a background and drug screen testing as required
Valid and current driving license; Must have their own vehicle for transportation


Bilingual in Spanish a plus
Highly and self-motivated with a desire to be successful
Must have high level Customer Service delivery
Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone and through email
Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Must be able to work as a team


Outside working conditions in various weather conditions
Sitting, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling
Moving equipment when needed such as goals, benches, etc.
