TheNational Women's Soccer League(NWSL) is a Division-I professional women's soccer league featuring the most prolific domestic and international players from around the globe. The twelve-team league consists of the Angel City Football Club (L.A.), Chicago Red Stars, Houston Dash, Kansas City Current, North Carolina Courage, Orlando Pride, Portland Thorns FC, OL Reign, Racing Louisville, San Diego Wave, NJ/NY Gotham FC, and the Washington Spirit.
The NWSL office is growing to meet the demands of the changing global landscape of professional women's soccer. We are looking for individuals who desire to make an impact on the future of sport in the United States.
Position Description
Reporting directly to the Head of CP/Licensing, this position will primarily manage and support the League's relationship with Nike, including communicating the overall vision and marketing strategy, directing the on-field product development process, and facilitating retail opportunities, with additional support for other Licensing business activities as needed. The position plays a critical role in the successful management of on-field kits and overall Nike/NWSL licensing product efforts.
Primary Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day relationship with Nike, specifically regarding on-field apparel and fan gear
Coordinate Nike kit development and regular update process with all NWSL Club product leads
Manage day-to-day operations for kit and other apparel delivery, development, shipping, product review and approval, quality control and reporting
Coordinate marketing and retail strategy as it relates to kits and other Nike apparel
Facilitate regular meetings between Nike and the NWSL and/or the NWSL Clubs
Work collaboratively within Consumer Products Group and with licensing, marketing and retail counterparts at NWSL Clubs
Maintain an understanding of the NWSL, brand values, capabilities, active licensee portfolio and premium revenue generation sources
Assist in the planning and execution of League initiatives and platforms
Help craft long term business strategy and presentation materials
Optimize organizational processes - maintain tracking documents and monthly reports
Work with Nike and NWSL Clubs to develop best practices
Provide additional support for the broader CP/Licensing business as needed
Willingness and availability to travel frequently among NWSL cities

Minimum Qualifications

5-7+ years in a Fashion, Sports, or licensing business or large IP owner, with deep understanding of licensing needs, operations, retail systems and practices, P&L, timelines, and branding
Ability to form effective internal and external business partnerships that influence the business
Possess strong organizational, problem solving, negotiation and resolution skills
Strong project/program management skills, and adept attention to detail in management in overseeing budgets, timelines, and various assets/deliverables
Strategic thinker focused on end results
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
Effective communication (both written and verbal) and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and in a virtual environment and execute without close supervision
Ability to deliver high quality work and execute under pressure/deadlines
Ability to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings within a professional sports atmosphere

Desired Qualifications

Experience with sports uniforms and on-field product, as well as equipment managers
Has a strong professional and positive presence/image that represents the league both internally and externally
Guided by strong moral and ethical principles
Communicates in a direct, open, and honest manner

Passionate about North American soccer and intimately connected with the soccer community

Pay Range:$55,000 - $60,000 annually
Work Location: New York, NY or Chicago, IL
