About the workplace

We belong to the learning and culture administration, which is one of our six administrations in Lidingö city. Around 1,400 employees work with us in many different areas, where together we form the core of Lidingö's education, culture and sports. From the city's open preschool, preschools, elementary schools to high school and adult education, we make sure that knowledge and learning are at the center. And when the school day ends? Then we are ready with everything from the library's bookshelves, music school and theater to sports activities and the community of association life.

The city of Lidingö has 11 municipal primary schools, we focus on knowledge and joyful learning, which can be seen in our good study results. We offer a school that is part of the digital society and we place great emphasis on preparing students for the future. The school leaders and teachers at Lidingö exchange experience, learn from each other and develop together.

Job duties

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher who loves to teach physical education and welcome to our team of three physical education teachers where we think that Everything is possible! Käppala School is a successful F-9 school with 600 wonderful students and professional colleagues. The location of the school is a dream for those who want to use nature as a classroom; next to Långängen's nature reserve, parks and green areas. The school yard offers activities such as parkour, basketball, bandy, football. The sports hall is large and well equipped. We have many wonderful traditions where the physical education teachers have an active role.

At Käppala, you collaborate with experienced colleagues and knowledgeable student health in a well-functioning team with clear goals. Your mission as a teacher and mentor is to provide the guidance and support that our study-motivated students need in their learning and personal development, based on their individual circumstances. You take responsibility for all your students' progress and goal achievement in accordance with the governing documents. As a member of a work team, you are given a great deal of freedom in cooperation with your colleagues. You take active responsibility for creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues and guardians. At us, conversation and sharing culture are important for us to be able to reach our goals. It is a matter of course that everyone is responsible for the tasks in a positive and solution-focused spirit.

The position is located in floor F-9. 100% sports during the spring of 2023, before the academic year 24/25 sports and possibly in combination with another subject.

Kvalifikationer

Du är legitimerad lärare med ämnesbehörighet i idrott och hälsa. Du är även gärna behörig att undervisa i spanska och andra ämnen. Meriterande är om du har mångårig erfarenhet av läraryrket samt vana av att leda rast-, friskvårds- och hälsoaktiviteter för alla åldrar. Vi söker dig som har kompetens att tillgängliggöra och differentiera undervisningen så den fungerar för alla elever. Du är en stark mentor och ledare som brinner för pedagogisk utveckling och värdegrundsarbete samt har dokumenterat goda resultat med dina elever.

Du har kunskap och vana av att arbeta med digitala verktyg och ser digitaliseringen som en självklar arena för undervisning. Vi arbetar i skolplattformen Schoolsoft, Google workspace for education och Classroom. I Lidingö stad arbetar vi utifrån värdeorden engagerad, professionell och initiativrik. Vi förväntar oss att du utifrån dina personliga egenskaper bidrar med en stor skapa engagemang, ett professionellt förhållningssätt och att du tar initiativ för att ständigt utveckla dig och verksamheten.
