ROLE DESCRIPTION

About the job
For the Youth Sector, the Sports Scientist figure will be responsible for providing the technical staff with information on workloads and training. It will analyze players' performances and their fatigue status, as well as other performance monitoring data.




What will you do:





Monitoring of external and internal training load and perception of effort through the use of GPS, heart rate and RPE data collection of the session, both during training on the pitch and in the gym.
Support to Athletic Trainers in case of need for U17.
Support on match day, also with regards to warming up and load monitoring before, during and post match for U17s.
Assistance in the testing activity of the youth sector and players on trial in collaboration with the Head of Performance.
Data collection, quality control of the same and development of dedicated reports.
Interdisciplinary collaboration with medical and technical staff in the sector.
Support for the training of young athletes by helping to create a high performance environment.




Who we are looking for:





Academic background in Sports Science (Master or Doctorate).
1 to 3 years of Sports Science experience in a Club.
Knowledge of Sports Science topics (training load management, training periodization, LTAD).
Expertise in data analysis and visualization (R, Python, Tableau) is a plus.
The university research path is a plus.
