We are CD Castellón, a historic Spanish Football club, competing in the 3rd tier of Spanish Football, Primera RFEF.

We proudly celebrated our centenary in 2022 and, in parallel under new owner Bob Voulgaris, have set out ambitious plans for the Club's future.

To achieve this, at this time we are seeking to appoint a Sports Coordinator, to work directly with our President and our Head Coach, to contribute to the development of the sports area of the Club through an intelligent co-ordination of sports facilities and the effective management of the operational dynamics of Club Deportivo Castellón.

Main responsibilities

Integration and alignment of sports performance structure with the first team head coach football strategy.
To reinforce the development and execution of the sports team, acting as a key pillar in the evolution of all infrastructures and collaborators in the sports area and academy.
Coordinate the daily dynamics among the sports departments with transparency, ethics, and the values of the sports enterprise, implementing good governance models, related to the following aspects:
SPORTS STAFF COORDINATION (B TEAM, PERFORMANCE teams, Football OPERATIONS and ALBINEGRA FOUNDATION): Design the most suitable structure and processes in the sports departments to support the specific demands of the First Team. At the same time, continuously monitoring and reporting of the progress of the sports department to adjust, when necessary, while keeping sight of the Club's overall goals.
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT: Responsible for the overall coordination of the current and future sports training facilities, establishing relationships with the Club's departments and Academy’s to achieve the effective design, operation and project's viability in terms of costs of them.
BUDGET SUPPORT AND CONTROL: Contribute to the development of comprehensive budgets in the football area that align with the Club's strategic plans and objectives and monitoring the expenses to track, review and assess the financial performance of the sports performance services.
ACADEMY ALIGMENT: Supervise the implementation of a clear style of play in the academy (same as first team) and contribute to the Fundació Albinegra strategic plan and productivity & ROI plan, that involves structure, projects, objectives and budget.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or similar level of higher education) preferred but not required.
Excellent knowledge of standard operational procedures, processes, and relevant equipment in football industry.
Possesses the high management knowledge required to coordinate, motivate, and supervise football performance and support staff roles.
Highly motivated with a passion for high performance at sports.
Looks to produce innovative solutions.
To live in Castellón.
