Required. Sports Scientist – Women’s Sector for AS ROMA.

As a sports scientist, you will need to contribute significantly to the sports science mission of optimizing player health and performance with world-class evidence-based sports science practice in the women’s side of AS Roma.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collection, storage, maintenance, and statistical analysis of data obtained from multiple sources, including, but not limited to: GPS, training load, medical, recovery, sleep, and nutrition;
Establish and maintain direct inputs with technical and fitness personnel for monitoring and control of team activities through daily and weekly meetings for analysis, monitoring and adjustment of training and recovery loads;
Provide feedback on the activity of athletes in the evolutionary phase (monitoring of training loads and growth peaks);
Set up and hold meetings with the teams’ injured athlete recovery manager to review and revise training load;
Development of internal reports;
Assist in the organization, planning and execution of laboratory and field tests, including the use of equipment, data collection, processing and presentation of results;
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of new tools to track and analyze player health, progression, and injury recovery performance;
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the specific international scientific literature on the physiological, biomechanical, medical and psychological characteristics of women’s and youth football.

NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science or similar,
4 years of practical experience in sports science,
Excellent knowledge of the Italian language,
Basic knowledge of the English language.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Sports Science or in a directly associated field;
Previous experience in professional women’s sports and, in particular, in women’s soccer;
Qualification course for the role of physical trainer of the FIGC
