This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sport Teacher/Tutor. If successful, you will be responsible for the planning, teaching and administration on all education programmes within the Professional Development Phase (U18-U23).
You’ll facilitate learning for players at the Club who are undertaking Level 3 BTEC qualifications, A Level’s, GCSE qualifications and other alternative qualifications. The role will have specific duties around the planning, delivery and assessment of the sport studies qualifications delivered to the U18/U23 players. Where appropriate you will also facilitate and oversee the learning of international qualifications.
Other administrative duties include implementation of the club tournament policy, production and gathering of school reports for registered players from MCFC and MCWFC as directed, and completion of player school visits. You will also coordinate any release from school requests for players under the age of 16 when required to do so.
You will support the administrative requirements of the Elite Player Performance Plan for players, parents and schools/Colleges in the Foundation Phase, Youth Development and Professional Development phase as directed.
The position will require you to work with all internal stakeholders in the CFG business, as well as external stakeholders, to coordinate all activities that assist the players in achieving their target grades identified by the schools and Premier League Education.

Your Impact

Plan and deliver teaching programmes of study to U18 Scholars and EDS players (under the age of 18) based at the Academy in order that they all successfully complete the qualification.
Be central in the coordination of the hybrid training model (12-16) including liaising with schools, parents and key internal / external stakeholders to help facilitate the programme.
Provide support to U12s – U15s players on the day release programme through report gathering, and visits to local schools as directed
Support and implement the tracking and monitoring of players on the Full Time, Hybrid and Part Time Training Models including gathering school reports and compile reports for players within the academy system (from 9- 16)
Assist with the tournament player release policy and process, co-ordinate and produce tournament booklets in line with the tournament schedule.
Be an active member of the operations and development department in the Academy, and support with the completion of departmental projects as and when required.

What we are looking for

Educated to degree level, the post holder may also have other relevant professional qualifications.
Teaching Qualification/Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE/QTS/QTLS).
Demonstrable experience teaching and working with young people
Evidence of consistent/outstanding teaching grades as appropriate
Experience of working in a secondary school environment / the post 16 sector
Up to date knowledge of education in the sport sector
Knowledge and experience of delivering the Sporting Excellence Professional (SEP);
Knowledge of Achieving Sporting Excellence (ASE)
Evidence of teaching and assessment of the Level 2 and 3 BTEC Sport studies suite of qualifications
Knowledge of FE/HE education programmes.
A positive attitude to IT and a willingness to learn to use digital resources effectively
High levels of proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages
Knowledge of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
Able to produce written reports, presentations and other documents and academy publications to the highest written and aesthetic standards.
Ability to interpret complex data and present it in a variety of formats.
Ability to present to large groups of people.
Ability to create high quality materials to use within the academy and to use resources and materials effectively
Positive and Enthusiastic approach

Knowledge and evidence of teaching other education programmes (GCSE, AQA, QCF, RQF, NCF)
Experience of teaching and assessing functional skills in English and Maths.
Experience of working within a category one Football Club.
Experience of working within an elite sports environment.
Knowledge of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)
Experience of delivery and assessment of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
