Position: The Special Events Specialist is part of the Stadium Operations Department for Minnesota United Football Club (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America. Job DescriptionWe are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Special Events Specialist to join our team. This position will assist in planning and executing a wide range of non-game day events, tours and activities – as well as be responsible for building and maintaining positive client, vendor and internal relationships. Having strong communication skills and an outgoing personality is a must! We are proud of the success we have had over the last four years and we are now hiring this position to help us keep growing. This position is a full-time role reporting to the Special Events Manager, based at Allianz Field in St. Paul, MN. Essential Duties Engage and maintain positive working relationships with each client, vendor and co-worker.Manage all stages of an event, from inception to execution (ie. coordinating client walk-throughs, follow-up, contracting, invoicing, payment, etc.).Prepare and organize event timelines and details for each event, to then align and communicate with stadium staff (ie. security, cleaning, operations, etc.) and client.Deliver an outstanding overall experience for our clients, to aid in business growth, exceed expectations and enhance our organization's image.“Events” can include: Trade shows, clinics, conferences, galas, meetings, corporate parties, small festivals, etc., with a focus on internal and partner events/ meetings.Lead full-stadium and special event tours, which includes sharing knowledge about the stadium and MNUFC to guests.Act as an expert in all spaces and features in Allianz Field.Generate layout designs in Microsoft Office Visio.Support the creation of stadium calendar management and invoicing using Tripleseat.Proactively solicit new business by providing/ sharing information at Allianz Field hosted events, attending local networking events and engaging in other MNUFC prospecting events. Qualifications: 4-5 years of related event experience.Ability to be creative and resourceful when discussing event possibilities.Strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills. Excellent computer skills, including preciseness in emails and speaking.Ability to work nights, weekend and holidays as necessary.Can be trusted to act in a manner that is truthful and values direct, honest communication at all levels of the Club.Responds quickly and effectively; learns from past mistakes and adjusts accordingly.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.Detail oriented and organized.Ability to work independently and/ or in a team environment.Must have computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.Company Profile: MNUFC is a professional soccer club playing in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier of soccer in North America, and which operates under the oversight of the U.S. Soccer Federation, a member of FIFA.
