The Media & Communications department is responsible for differentiating Arsenal by driving pride, inspiration and belonging.At its core, it's responsible for engaging fans and a variety of internal and external stakeholders with innovative, consistent and integrated communications, content and campaigns across all touchpoints.
The team works closely with all departments across the Club to produce engaging communications, content and campaigns that engage fans globally and enhances and protects the Club's reputation.
The Social Media Producer role involves planning and publishing content across the Club's owned and operated and social media platforms.The role understands the value and effectiveness of content in order to differentiate Arsenal and continually build and engage a large global audience, bringing fans closer to the club through innovative content which aligns to the Club's values.
The Social Media Producer will report into the Social Media Editor whilst working closely with the rest of the Media & Comms Team to ensure that the planned and produced content is aligned to the Club's media & comms strategy, Club's values and tone of voice.
This job will involve working matchdays and requires a broad range of skills across social media and editorial but, most importantly, a proactive, 'can-do' and collaborative attitude is essential.
Engage fans in a meaningful way on our social channels which brings them closer to the club and inspires pride and a sense of belonging
Be part of an exciting and dynamic Communications and Media team and produce exciting matchday content in and around the game, writing and sub-editing news stories quickly and accurately whilst adhering to Arsenal's style and tone of voice
Be part of planning and executing interviews with players and club staff with professionalism and personality for stories and features, producing them in a way that brings our fans closer to the club and gives insight that nobody else can
Provide community management support across our social media platforms, with particular attention to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and any other platforms we add to our portfolio to reach, engage and build deeper relationships with our fans
Plan and produce engaging, informative and innovative content for new and existing channels which meet a variety of briefs from our football editorial team, community, Arsenal Foundation, branded partnerships and retail content
Stay across current and emerging trends and be immersed in wider culture to find authentic ways to bring football and fashion, lifestyle, sport, art and music together in an authentic and meaningful way to reach and engage younger super fans and fans of the game
Leverage insights and use analytical tools e.g. CrowdTangle as part of the mix of understanding the value and performance of our content on social media platforms and what our target audience want to see and how they want to engage with the Club
Represent the Club's values across our content and adopt the Club's tone of voice
Be part of Club events and think of innovative ways to capture content which is appropriate and native to each channel and publish on the Club's owned and social channels
Publish stories and content on the Club's website which drives traffic and encourages fans to spend time with us and be more embedded in the Arsenal family
Successfully publish videos using a Content Management System
Optimize images and photography for different social channels and work closely with the Club's graphic design team on creative solutions for content that drives pride, inspiration and belonging
MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
We're looking for someone who will think differently in order to differentiate Arsenal.
The right candidate will be able to tell a compelling story across a variety of platforms and have the desire to deliver impactful and engaging work.
This role involves flexible hours and weekend work, specifically to cover matchdays and events outside of regular office hours.
Education to degree level is desirable but specialist experience is considered essential.

Producing compelling content and using analytics tools and insights to inform creative and publishing decisions
Working for a globally recognised brand
Storytelling and publishing across a variety of social media channels and to website
Writing compelling editorial copy
Specific Experience/Abilities, Skills, Knowledge:
Expertise in generating and publishing stand out content which is on message and on brand
Bursting with new ideas across existing social media platforms and emerging ones
A knowledge and passion for football and its place in wider culture
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Solid understanding of social media tools to plan ahead, interpret data and act on insight
