ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Manchester College has many Campus locations across Greater Manchester, each with its own specialist cutting-edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest Further Education College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Sessional Coach on a fixed term (Juntil July 2024), sessional (ADHOC) basis.
As a Football Coach you will:
Design and implement effective football coaching sessions for 16-18-year-old students
Develop and execute age-appropriate training drills and exercises
Assess and monitor the progress of individual players and the team
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline among the players
Provide constructive feedback to players to help them improve their skills
Collaborate with other coaching staff and college faculty to create a well-rounded student-athlete experience
Ensure the safety and well-being of the students during training sessions and matches
To be successful in this, you will need:
UEFA coaching qualifications (e.g., FA Level 2 or higher)
Previous experience coaching football, preferably with 16-18-year-old players
Strong knowledge of football techniques, strategies, and rules
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
