Position Overview: Otawa International Soccer Club (OISC) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Staff Head Coach to lead our youth soccer programs. As the Staff Head Coach, you will play a crucial role in implementing our vision and mission statements, focusing on player development, coaching excellence, and creating a positive soccer experience for all participants. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of coaches and contribute to the growth and success of our club.

Our teams and individual players are recognized as one of the best Sports Clubs in the City. We aim to provide the highest quality player development programs, facilities, coaches, training, leadership, and management so that all participants are encouraged to reach their highest potential.
Mission Statement: Community First! OISC's mission is to be the best at providing people of all ages (with an emphasis on youth), genders, and backgrounds the opportunity to participate in soccer. We strive to enrich the lives of the people we serve by offering organized leagues, tournaments, fall and winter skill development soccer programs, and administrative services through quality facilities, trained soccer staff, and dedicated volunteers.
Taking Soccer to the Next Level. The focus of OISC is on both player and coach development by delivering a high-quality and enjoyable soccer education. We are commited to providing a quality soccer experience where our players, parents, referees, and coaches can flourish and develop a passion for the sport. At OISC, soccer players will receive quality instruction aimed at providing them with the skills and knowledge to take their game to the next level. We also strive for continuous improvement of ourcompetitive soccer programs at all levels by supporting developing players in both recreational and developmental categories. Please note the following list is not exhaustive and additional responsibilties may be assigned to you as needed and as agreed upon by management and the board of directors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:1. Ensure all programs are provided within a Safe Sport environment.2. Develop and implement a comprehensive coaching curriculum aligned with the club's mission and vision statements.3. Recruit, lead and manage a team of coaches and Coaches in Training (CITs)ensuring effective communication, coordination, and collaboration.4. Design and deliver training sessions that focus on technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game for all developmental levels.5. Mentor, support, evaluate and assess coaches’ performance, provide constructive feedback, and develop training/education plans.6. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting sportsmanship, respect, and fair play among players and coaches.7. Collaborate with General Manager and Board of Directors to periodically review goals,expectations and provide input on future goals and expectations.8. Collaborate with parents, volunteers, and club officials to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the soccer programs.9. Understand and promote coaching development and program delivery based on the 4-corner model (Social/Emotional, Psychological, Technical/Tactical, Physical).10. Ensure programs utilize a player-focused, developmental delivery model.11. Plan and deliver Community Outreach Programming.12. Remain up to-date with proven sport-science based, modern coaching methodologies, and best practices.13. Promote the club's values and image within the community, building relationships with local schools, organizations, and stakeholders.14. Qualifications and Skills:15. Minimum of Canada Soccer coaching license at the C level or equivalent.16. Extensive coaching experience in a community club with a multitude of offerings including children, youth and adults in all program/coaching streams (Development, Recreational, Competitive).17. Strong knowledge of soccer techniques, tactics, and player development principles.18. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players and coaches.19. Demonstrated organizational and managerial abilities, including team management, scheduling, and budgeting.20. Passion for youth development and a commitment to providing a positive soccer experience for all participants.21. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, including players, parents, coaches, and club officials.22. Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
