About Al Ittihad FC: Al Ittihad FC, one of Saudi Arabia's premier football clubs, is renowned for its rich history, passionate fan base, and commitment to excellence both on and off the field. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Social Media Manager to join our team and lead our social media efforts across multiple platforms.

Position Overview: The Senior Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that enhances Al Ittihad FC's brand presence, engages our fan base, and drives social commerce. This leadership role requires a creative and strategic thinker who is up-to-date with the latest social media trends, passionate about football, and proficient in both Arabic and English.

Key Responsibilities:


Strategy Development and Execution:



Develop and implement a robust social media strategy aligned with the club's marketing goals and objectives.



Identify target audiences and tailor content to engage and grow these segments.



Content Planning and Publishing:



Oversee the creation and curation of engaging, high-quality content for 12 different social media platforms.



Ensure consistent brand messaging and voice across all platforms.



Develop and manage a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant posts.



Analysis and Target Setting:



Set measurable goals and KPIs for social media performance.



Utilize social media analytics tools to track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of social media campaigns.



Provide regular reports on key metrics and insights to inform future strategies.



Social Commerce:



Drive social commerce initiatives to monetize social media presence.



Collaborate with the e-commerce team to integrate social media with online sales strategies.



Team and Agency Management:



Manage and mentor two direct reports, providing guidance and support to achieve team objectives.



Oversee the work of the social media agency, ensuring alignment with the club’s goals and standards.



Innovation and Creativity:



Continuously explore new social media trends, tools, and technologies to enhance the club's social media presence.



Implement innovative campaigns and activations to engage and grow the fan base.



Fan Engagement:



Foster a strong online community by engaging with fans and responding to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.



Create opportunities for fan-generated content and interaction.



Leadership:



Demonstrate strong leadership skills, inspiring and motivating the social media team.



Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to marketing and communications.



Represent the social media team in senior management meetings and contribute to strategic planning.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.



Minimum of 8 years of experience in social media management, preferably in sports, entertainment or FMCG. Football experience is a bonus.



Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies.



Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.



Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for football.



Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.



Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.



Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team and working with agencies.



Knowledge of social commerce and e-commerce integration is a plus.

Copywriting: Strong writing skills to craft compelling and effective copy tailored to different platforms and target audiences.
Visual Design: Basic understanding of graphic design principles and tools to create visually appealing posts and assets.
Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams including marketing, PR, customer service, and design to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changes in algorithms, trends, and user behavior on social media platforms.
Paid Social Media: Understanding of paid advertising on social media platforms including targeting options, budgeting, and optimization techniques.
Storytelling: Ability to tell compelling brand stories and narratives that resonate with the target audience.
Experimentation and Innovation: Willingness to experiment with new ideas, formats, and technologies to drive engagement and differentiation.
