This Senior Sales Manager role will join the Football Education team to work primarily on managing existing Manchester City Football School partnerships globally but also being part of developing commercial opportunities for Manchester City Football Schools around the world.
Role specific accountabilities:
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within each Partner
Plan and manage regular contact and reviews with Partners
Be the primary contact for all requests and queries from the Partner
Work closely with the Football Education operations team to oversee delivery of contractual obligations
Work with other key departments within MCFC to help deliver value to accounts, e.g. Protocol, Marketing, Legal etc.
Create a sales strategy to deliver targeted sales objectives
Prepare sales propositions, plan and manage sales pipeline
Develop strong relationships with prospective new Partners
Manage the commercial process of contract development and signing, managing external and internal stakeholders
Work closely with the Football Education Operations team to onboard new partners
Work with Head of Commercial to continually develop Football School sales offering and account management processes
Role specific knowledge, skills, and experience:
Higher Level Education (UK University 2:1 equivalent or higher)
Record of being customer focussed and solution driven
Proven track record of working with customers to deliver material revenue growth, year on year
Fluent in English (speaking & writing)
Familiarity with global commercial landscapes, culture and business practices
Self-sufficient and proactive
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Sophisticated presentation skills to articulate Football Education story to prospects
Creative approach to sales and persistent determination through the sales cycle.
Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced working environment and hours
Broad commercial acumen
High-level skills in all aspects of sales prospecting and contract negotiations
Sound knowledge of the global and regional/local football sports landscape
Experience in a commercial role within a rights-holder/club environment
Competent in standard Microsoft Programmes (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Understanding of stakeholder engagement within a global organisation
