Football Australia is the national governing body for football in Australia and a member of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the international governing body for football. It governs all national teams, the A-Leagues (in Football Australia’s capacity as the regulatory body), Australia Cup, National Premier Leagues and leads state, community, and grassroots football.

This Sydney-based role will lead and deliver People and Culture projects, policies, programs and practices, which facilitates delivery of Football Australia’s strategic objectives. Key focus areas include advisory support, employee engagement, talent acquisition, WHS management and D&I.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Contribute to a range of HR projects such as HRIS implementation, Learning Management Systems and Onboarding software implementations
Manage staff engagement surveys, collating results and managing follow up actions
Lead the design and development of P&C activities and initiatives to drive internal engagement
Coordinate learning and development activities and facilitating soft skills workshops
Manage the compliance and reporting framework for all HR practices, including regular review & update HR Policies to ensure relevance
Through a thorough understanding of relevant employment legislation, facilitate the management of grievances, employee relations, and performance management along with any other queries that arise from time to time, promoting a fair and compliant workforce
Lead the annual performance and remuneration review processes
Working closely with the Head of Women’s Football, Legacy and Inclusion, implement the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) framework including engagement strategies that create an inclusive environment for LGBTIQ+, Women, Multicultural, First Nations People, all Ability communities

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

3-4 years’ experience overseeing a human resource function including
with respect to workforce planning, recruitment, organisation and
employee development, employee relations, employee engagement and organisational change, work, health and safety, developing best-practice HR information systems and reporting
Proven ability interpreting Awards, and strong knowledge of the Fair
Work Act and other employment-related legislation
Sound knowledge of and experience in the application and interpretation of contemporary HR procedures and practices
Experience in People & Culture policy interpretation, administration, and process improvement
Demonstrated experience serving as a knowledgeable resource and
advisor to people leaders and senior managers
Strong systems and MS program capabilities
Experience working within Sport and/or High-Performance environments is desirable
