ROLE DESCRIPTION

As Senior Marketing Executive, the successful candidate will have a pivotal role to play within the Marketing & Multi-Media department. Working with a talented team of marketing, media, design and production colleagues this role will be responsible for planning, implementing and supporting the delivery of all marketing activity for the club.
 
This position requires a strategic thinker with strong copywriting skills, a good eye for detail and excellent time management skills to deliver strong results to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will have prior experience of devising, coordinating and delivering effective and efficient marketing campaigns as you’ll be tasked with driving revenue growth via multi-channel marketing campaigns with a digital-first approach.
 
A passion for brand and marketing communications is key as your responsibilities will extend to enhancing brand image, driving fan engagement and supporting tactical activities that support commercial objectives across the Club.
 
Key accountabilities will include:
 

Your responsibilities will vary significantly week to week in line with club requirements - but here’s a flavour of what you can expect:
Support the Head of Marketing Operations on a range of marketing activities and events, both online and offline
Work closely with the digital marketing team to coordinate and deliver multi-channel marketing communications, including organic and paid social media content, email marketing and official website content
Collaborate with all commercial departments across the club to plan, develop and deliver their marketing activities, including but not limited to; Retail & E-commerce, Ticketing, Hospitality, Events, Soccer Academy, Travel, Sponsorship and PR
Ensure correct and consistent application of brand identity across all marketing channels, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure brand guidelines are adhered to
Idea generation for marketing campaigns – from day-to-day ticket sales and sponsorship activation, to kit launches and Season Ticket campaigns, the ability to think creatively and adapt at pace is key
Manage agency relationships from creative to media
Organise and supply match-day content and adverts to internal teams / external agencies with a ‘fan first’ approach – ensure messaging is relevant to the occasion

 
 
Skills and Experience required:
 

Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Experience working in football would be desirable
The ability to react quickly to optimise campaigns and content
Strong marketing and / or brand management skills
Building good relationships with stakeholders comes naturally to you
You are comfortable with prioritising jobs from a range of stakeholders
Ability to work well within a small team, we are always looking to help and support each other
You have an eye for detail in everything you do
Ability to brief requirements and provide feedback clearly, both written and verbally
Copywriting experience is essential as this is a big part of the role to support all commercial club activity
Ability to interpret and apply data led marketing insights to optimise multi-channel campaign delivery
Comfortable presenting your ideas to the team
