Role description

We govern the beautiful game and ensure it's run with transparency and integrity.We are now looking for aSenior Manager Event Logisticsthat is part ofFIFAand supports us on our mission.These are your key tasks:

Planning, preparing and executing of all FIFA event shipments for tournaments, draws, congresses, workshops and seminars. This includes the initial planning, liaising with internal departments, calculating and communicating deadlines and collecting orders from internal departments
Coordinating and execution of event shipments in the FIFA warehouse and abroad (pick pack, unpacking, repacking, distribution)
Procurement of logistics freight forwarders and suppliers both in Switzerland and the host countries; execution and evaluation of freight forwarding partner tenders, issuing of contracts, market observation and optimisation
Managing of logistics freight forwarding, preparation of international shipping documentation, handling of shipments and managing event shipment related requests including ad-hoc and last minute requests
Issuing of Customs documentation (Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificate of Origin, Carnet ATA)
Coordinating delivery requirements and timelines with hotels, event venues and functional areas
Managing of the FIFA storage area at tournaments and events and being the point of contact for all logistics related requests
Taking care of the logistics for FIFA tournaments and events budgets and provision of oversight and governance in the preparation of the Local FIFA Subsidiary (LFS) budget
Communicating FIFA requirements to the LFS, leading the logistics project and acting as the logistics point of contact for the LFS
Quality management and control of event related services: defining requirements and establishing processes
Providing expert knowledge to internal FIFA departments in the areas of Customs and freight and all other areas of logistics
Providing expert knowledge, guidance and support to the LFS in the areas of Customs freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution, venue logistics, material planning and team movements
Working with the LFS in the implementation and operation of a simplified customs procedure

Completed commercial apprenticeship in international forwarding and logistics
Professional qualification in logistics, project management or an associated field
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the international freight sector (air, road or sea) as well as import and export
Highly proficient with MS Project, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook
Fluent in English, any additional languages are an advantage
Relevant project management experience in the field of sports or international fairs events. Relevant operational experience within venue logistics in either sporting events or fairs events

Courage to question processes and provide inputs for improvements
Able to work independently and on own initiative, able to prioritise and differentiate tasks according to importance and urgency
Willingness to go the extra-mile whenever it is needed
