We are looking for a Senior Manager - Event Safety & Operations who will be responsible for all aspects of planning and preparation in relation to safety management for all major events at the Emirates Stadium and in Europe.
You'll work closely with our managers and external stakeholders to establish suitable systems and controls to ensure the safety and security of our supporters and anyone who enters the stadium. You’ll produce operational plans for all special events at the stadium and ensure that we meet the legislation and regulation requirements to allow all events and activities to take place in a safe, controlled environment.

Deliver all major events at the Stadium, ensuring we are compliant with statutory regulations and making real time decisions in the interest of crowd safety.
Act as main contact point for the Local Authority, SGSA and Emergency Services, maintaining strong relationships to ensure a smooth operational process.
Create operational plans for all matches and events, keeping abreast of industry developments and working with football governing bodies to develop industry standards.
Work with UEFA venue personnel for European home fixtures and attend European site visits and fixtures to ensure the safety of all fans travelling abroad.
Manage our Matchday Safety Team and Control Room personnel and deliver event safety and security briefings to staff, match officials, Stewards, Police and the Local Authority.
Support the planning, co-ordination, and preparation of all AWFC First Team matches played at Meadow Park and the Emirates Stadium.
Ensure our casual matchday workforce is resourced appropriately and that Stewards are trained to the highest standard.
Work alongside our Commercial and Hospitality teams to safely deliver any proposed promotions and activities.
What We Are Looking For
Ideally hold an NVQ level 4 Spectator Safety Management (or working towards this).
A proven track record in event safety management, ideally in a stadium or arena environment or large public entertainment premises.
Excellent relationship building and communications skills with people of all levels, and someone who is a team player.
Experience producing detailed operational documentation and delivering training programmes.
Works well under pressure, reacting quickly and flexibly to changing event conditions and safety demands.
Previous experience working with local enforcement agencies, including the emergency services.
Confident managing teams of operatives, planning and organising workloads and prioritising to meet objectives.
