Senior Manager – EFCW Academy

About the opportunity: We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and motivated leader to come and join our Women’s Department as Senior Academy Manager.
Reporting directly into the Director of Football Operations – Womens Football, in this unique role, you will take overall responsibility for the delivery of an effective Academy programme, collaborating effectively with representatives across Coaching, Recruitment, Medical, Education, Player Care, Sports Science and Operations.
You will work closely with the EFCW management team on a day-to-day basis, to lead and develop the Club’s Football Philosophy and Academy Performance Plan; while delivering the Club’s regulatory responsibilities.
Other key responsibilities include:
General
Leading and inspiring an environment where any player is welcome, and possibility is encouraged via a systemic approach to identifying and developing potential
Leading the development of a holistic talent system within the club that supports and develops potential in players, coaches and wider multi-disciplinary staff.
Driving the development of a culture where all people, not just players, are developed to reach their individual potential on and off the pitch
Coaching
Oversee the effective design, implementation, management, and monitoring, of the Academy’s coaching programme
Ensure a clear pathway is in place in order to produce players capable of making the transition to first team football, primarily at Everton Women
Attend coach development days as organised by the F.A.
Operations
Supporting the organisation and confirmation of Academy operations, arrangements and logistics including the prompt and clear communications required to support these
Oversight and control of the processes and procedures performed within the Academy squads; including any requirements in alignment with licence or registrations
Responsibility for fixture planning and subsequent management to deliver against fixtures and events.
Governance and Compliance
Ownership for the delivery of the requirements of the PGA licence criteria across all areas of the Academy
Supporting the delivery of audit processes; ensuring that all information is prepared and submitted
Chairing the Academy Management Team (AMT) meetings; hosting representatives across Coaching, Performance, and Medical departments. Providing support and communications where required.
Who we are looking for: We are looking for a talented and passionate individual who has previous experience of working in an elite performance environment, where management and leadership has been a key focus – delivering against complex workloads, competing priorities and flexibility to changing needs and demands.
It is essential that you hold a UEFA B Licence, FA Safeguarding certificate and FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF).
We need someone who possess the ability to work discreetly under pressure, but also as part of a multi-disciplinary team, establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
This role is on a permanent basis, working 40 hours per week and is based within Finch Farm training ground in Liverpool (Halewood).
