Role description
Position Summary
The Senior Coordinator, Player Relations is responsible for supporting the legal and compliance function of the Player Relations Department.
Primary Responsibilities
· Provide support for player signings, club rosters and salary budgets
· Coordinate with player administration processes (e.g. P1 Visa processing, US Soccer
player registration, processing and tracking of all player payments, maintenance of files)
· Maintain and update database of player contract documents
· Prepare documentation for league and club executives
· Collaborate with product/marketing departments on player-related matters
· Provide support at MLS events
· Draft communications to MLS clubs (e.g. Waivers, Re-Entry Draft, Rosters)
· Liaise with MLS Players Association
· Interpret and assist in the enforcement of the MLS Roster & Budget Guidelines
· Additional responsibilities as assigned
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 2-4 years of experience as a paralegal or similar role in law firm or business
Required Skills
· Deep knowledge and interest in Major League Soccer, our teams, players and rules
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Strong computer skills (Excel, Power Point, general data entry, etc)
· Strong research and writing skills
· Ability to multi-task and be flexible with work schedule
Desired Skills
· Knowledge of FIFA rules and practice
· Fluency in Spanish preferred (oral and preferred written)
