Role description

Stoke City Community Trust at the bet365 Stadium is looking for a Senior Coach to support its Premier League Primary Stars programme.

Stoke City Community Trust is an independent and registered charity. Our mission is to improve the lives of children and young people through sport, physical activity, health and educational programmes. As the Trust continues to develop we wish to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to deliver our primary schools programmes.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and well organised individual who will understand the importance of physical activity for primary aged children as well as a clear understanding of the requirements of the National Curriculum for both Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils. You will also be expected to have an active role in other duties required to deliver the outcomes and targets of Stoke City Community Trust.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

Delivering inspiring and engaging PE lessons to 5-11 year old pupils.
Enhancing teacher’s knowledge, skills, and confidence to improve the provision of PE and School Sport.
Increase children’s enjoyment, participation and skills in competitive and non-competitive sports and other physical activities.
Proficient in delivering classroom based targeted interventions and workshops as part of the PLPS programme to support students across a number of areas such as Maths, English and PSHE.
Good general level of education, administration and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for physical education, sport and health and will have experience of both delivering classroom based lessons as well as practical activities.

The positions will be offered on a full time basis. All relevant training will be provided.
