DEPARTMENT: Women’s
REPORTING TO: Senior Lead Goalkeeping Coach
JOB FUNCTION: To support the successful delivery of an elite goalkeeping development programme for the Women’s Senior Team.
LOCATION: Cobham Training Ground
CONTRACT: Full time, permanent – 40 Hours per week – 6 days from 7 as required by team schedule.


PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):

Support Senior Lead GK coach with the planning & delivery of an elite goalkeeping development programme for the Senior Team, on & off pitch.
Works closely with Senior Lead GK coach to deliver Senior Team GK individual development plans on & off pitch, to maximise the amount of individual contact each GK receives.
Analyses and reviews GK training & game performance, creating the relevant clips & playlists to support the individual development plans of senior team goalkeepers.
Creates & supports delivery of analysis clips & playlists relevant to upcoming opponents to help prepare GKs for matches. Inclusive of free kick & penalty analysis & data.
Works closely with Physical Performance coaches to review & interpret Senior Team GK GPS data & reports back to Senior Lead GK coach to inform future sessions & periodisation.
Leads loan goalkeeper programme to support any CFCW GKs who are on loan, communicating regularly with loan club staff around GK performance & needs, using this to create integrated individual development plans for loan GKs.
Reviews & reports on loan GK match performance & regularly feeds back to Senior Lead GK coach.
Works closely with Senior Lead GK coach & Recruitment Lead to identify & report on longlist GKs for the Senior Team. Helps to maintain an up-to-date database & longlist, live scouting when required.
Assists Senior Lead GK coach with the analysis & when required delivery of the set piece process for the senior team, performing any tasks as required, on or off pitch, by the Opposition Analyst or Senior Lead GK coach.
Delivers or supports GK rehab sessions or any other GK related sessions (e.g. Physical performance) as required.
Supports with any other duties as required by Senior Team staff related to the successful delivery of training/match day.

Qualifications:

UEFA B GK Licence (Essential)
UEFA B Licence (Essential)
Experience:

3-5 years’ coaching experience in an elite football environment (Essential)
Experience working with elite female athletes (Desirable)
Previous professional playing experience (Desirable)
Skills and Behaviours:

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with people at all levels in the club.
Enthusiasm and adaptability to manage the changes that occur within an elite professional environment.
Rigorous attention to detail to ensure the highest player development standards on & off the pitch.
Eager to learn new skills & continually work towards becoming better.
Ability to reflect on own & departmental practices and performance, using this to implement positive change where required.
Has a strong ‘can do’ mentality & shows passion in completing even the smallest task to the highest standards.
