We’re looking for an organised and supportive Select Group Women’s Professional Game Manager to join us at PGMOL. This role is essential in managing and developing our Select Group Women’s Professional Game Referees, and you will be directly responsible for the general management of the Select Group Women’s Professional Game, working with Coaches to create and deliver appropriate training, performance management, and managing the technical development of the officials. We’d love to hear from you if you:
Have a comprehensive knowledge of the Laws of the Game, elite football in England, and knowledge of refereeing at an elite level.
Possess the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Are able to present confidently to groups.
Have experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary or integrated team.
What you can expect to be involved in
Working with the Select Group Women’s Professional Game Director (SG WPG D), the SG WPG Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Officiating Team delivers the required performance standards for the Competition. The SG WPG Manager is directly responsible for the general management of the workforce in the WPG, working closely with coaches to create and deliver appropriate training, performance management, and managing the technical development of the officials, including the disseminated work at Regional Performance Centres (RPCs).
You can expect to:
Work with the Referee Coaches in planning and coordinating the training programme.
Co-ordinate a scouting network within the Select Group Women’s Professional Game to identify Match Officials who may form part of a future Development Group intake.
Provide technical coaching/mentoring advice and support to selected Match Officials as part of their individual coaching cell.
Manage the process of feedback from the Observer Scheme to support knowledge development and sharing of good practice.
Engage and cooperate with the coaches with the WSL and WC clubs and staff.
