Location: St Mary’s Stadium and local schools within Southampton
Hours: Full time (we are happy to consider applications for part time work)

Salary: £21,500-£23,500 (depending on experience)

What will you be doing?
We have a number of exciting opportunities for someone who has a passion to work with young people to join our team and work as part of the charity’s successful secondary school programmes. You’ll be based at one of our local partner schools in Southampton. Using a range of 1 to 1 mentoring, group interventions, extracurricular activities and harnessing the brand of Southampton Football Club to raise aspirations of pupils within the schools.
Working with hard-to-reach pupils you’ll aim to improve school attainment and pupil self-esteem. You’ll be a positive influence, raising the aspirations of pupils and liaising with teachers and parents. Based in a local school, you’ll be working with pupils who are at risk of becoming disengaged, creating key partnerships with other young people’s services and working closely with Foundation Project Officers to carry out monitoring and evaluation to track the impact of delivery.
You’ll get to wear our Saints Foundation branded uniform supplied by Hummel, and the opportunity to make a positive input to our local community. You’ll be based at the local school Monday to Thursday and at our office in St Mary’s Stadium on Fridays.
Is this you?
You are without a doubt a people person who loves building relationships and being a positive influence on the young people aged 11-16.
• Experience in the Youth Work or education setting, working with young people aged 11-16, or have a good understanding of alternative school settings in Southampton.
• Experience in leading delivery, developing high quality resources for both classroom and sporting based sessions to young people with varying abilities and needs.
• Have experience in building relationships with hard-to-reach young pupils to encourage positive change.
• Hold or be working towards the Youth Work Level 2 or Effective Mentoring, or an equivalent education-based qualification.
