What will you be doing?
We have an exciting opportunity for a new Community Champion to join our team and work as part of the charity’s successful Community Champions programme. You’ll be based at one of our local partnership schools in Southampton, coordinating the delivery of the Foundation’s Community and Education based programmes.
You’ll be responsible for educating and promoting our core values of Saints Foundation within the school to students of 10-16 years old. You’ll be a positive influence, raising the aspirations of pupils and liaising with teachers and parents. You’ll also be creating key partnerships with other young people’s services and working closely with the Saints Foundation Project Officers to ensure a detailed monitoring and evaluation programme is implemented.

You’ll be provided with our Saints Foundation branded uniform supplied by Hummel, and the opportunity to go make a positive input to our local community. You’ll be based at the local school Monday to Thursday and at our office in St Mary’s Stadium on Fridays.
Is this you?
If you have previous experience in working with school students, an understanding of local community engagement programmes tailored for the Emotional Health Wellbeing for young people, and have an approachable, motivating personality, then you’re the person we are looking for. You are without a doubt a people person who loves building relationships and being a positive influence on the younger generation.
Experience in the industry sector, working with young people aged 10-16 years old.
A knowledge of ME programmes relevant to the industry sector.
A strong knowledge of community engagement programmes specifically tailored to the provision of Emotional Health Wellbeing for young people.
Ability to build a strong rapport with colleagues and pupils with varying needs. Extending partnerships with a multitude of external agencies to create pathways and to add value to the Community Champions programme.
Ability to manage own timetable and work flexible hours, including evenings and School holidays.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Confident and outgoing personality.
