To assist with the long-term vision of Norwich City Football Club and it’s Regional Development Programme (RDP) by operating as Schools & Community Coordinator reporting into the Schools & Community Officer.
This role involves the management & development of new funded and paid projects within the schools department to support growth and secure new delivery agreements. A specific requirement is to develop projects for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) which will provide further accessible coaching delivery and opportunities for those that may not access mainstream sport.
The post holder for this position will develop the syllabus for curricular and extra-curricular activity, ensuring it meets the National curriculum guidelines, and supports the RDP coaching staff with an academic plan of delivery. Alongside this, supporting the Schools & Community Officer with organising and scheduling delivery staff on a weekly basis, and quality assuring staff across all schools sessions working with the Coach Recruitment and Development Officer to ensure targets are met and staff supported through relevant CPD and training.
This role also requires coaching delivery across all RDP departments, with all coaching hours provided by the relevant department leads.
We have minimum qualification requirements for those who wish to be part of our Schools & community team, however we will work with and develop the right people through our coach development programme and workforce strategy.
Minimum and desirable qualifications are:
Level 1/2 or higher in a specific sport
Teaching/ physical education qualfication
Emergency First Aid Certificate
Safeguarding Children Certificate
All RDP coaches will undertake our safer recruitment and induction process and an enhanced DBS disclosure check before delivering any sessions.
