Job Title: School Sport Coordinator
Duration of contract: One Year Fixed-Term Contract – potential extension subject to funding
Hours of work: 37.5 per week
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Location: QPR Stadium + various schools and sports facilities across West London
Reports to: Education Manager
Department: QPR Community Trust – Education Department
About the role:
Due to an internal promotion, QPR Community Trust are now looking to recruit a full-time School Sport Coordinator to join the team. This is a role that would suit a highly organised, ambitious individual with exceptional communication skills.
Previous experience delivering and coordinating school sport will be essential, and the successful candidate must be business-minded as a part of this role will involve generating new income for the QPR Trust Education Department.

Key Responsibilities include:
Work closely with schools that we deliver in across the 7 boroughs and manage
coaching sessions for schools within the Trust’s delivery area. This is to include (not
exhaustive):
Breakfast, Curriculum Lunch time, & After school sessions
P.E and PPA delivery
Develop and manage the apprenticeship programme, ensuring a pathway to employment
Organise, manage, and deliver competitive opportunities including tournaments and festivals, QPR Schools League and Mayors Cup.
Develop private school partnerships including current work with Harrow School.
Provide up to date monitoring and evaluation information as required using Salesforce.
Explore new methods to increase the unrestricted income for the Schools Department
Direct Line-manage School Sport Officer as well as wider management of QPR Trust sessional staff
Attend meetings with key partners - i.e. local authorities, schools, local sports networks, organisations and community clubs - to develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships.
Provide cover for other coaching staff if required.
The type of experience we are looking for:
Qualifications
NGB recognised coaching qualification – level 2 minimum
Educated to degree level or equivalent (desirable)
Professional teaching qualification (desirable)
DBS check
Safeguarding Children certificate
First Aid certificate
Driving License and access to a vehicle (desirable)
Skills, Knowledge, Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sport development / sports coordinator role
Minimum 2 years’ experience coaching within Primary Schools
Ability to plan innovative and engaging football and sports programmes.
Experience of working within a set budget and managing finances
Previous line-management experience (desirable)
Understanding of how to increase sales and experience of growing income from schools (desirable)

Able to lead and motivate other team members
Proactive and customer focused
