We’re looking for a Safeguarding, Welfare, and EDI Lead to champion a safe, inclusive, and thriving environment for everyone at Wrexcham AFC.
As an approachable, passionate individual dedicated to safeguarding and inclusion; you'll bring emotional intelligence, an unwavering commitment to best practices, and a continuous learning attitude.
You’ll collaborate with EFL and FA/FAW teams to uphold the highest safeguarding standards and deliver training, raise awareness, and promote best practices for safeguarding and EDI. You’ll oversee safe recruitment practices and manage safeguarding incidents with utmost confidentiality and you’ll lead and innovate the Club's EDI initiatives, ensuring they surpass industry standards
The successful candidate will have Level 2 Designated Safeguarding Officer training and attended the FA/FAW Safeguarding and Welfare Workshops and be familiar with football structures and governance. Their expertise in safeguarding, case management and child/adult protection will be matched by their skills in policy drafting and NSPCC Child Protection standards comprehension. They’ll have EDI qualifications or significant experience in the field and demonstrate their ability to engage with key stakeholders, from the Club Disability Liaison Officer to DSO’s and local agencies
