Role description
We are recruiting a Retail Assistant to work within our Club Shop on a full-time basis supporting us in the efficient day-to-day operations of our retail function.

As Retail Assistant the successful candidate will support our retail function ensuring all visitors to the Club Shop receive a warm welcome. Ideally candidates will have retail experience and knowledge, however training will be provided to ensure you are able to identify customer needs and assist customers in finding the products they are looking for and can provide advice and recommendations.
As well as engaging with customers face to face on the shop floor the successful candidate will support customers over the phone with retail enquiries and ensure online orders are fulfilled and sent or stored ready for collection. As part of this role, you will also support the Retail Manager in ensuring the online shop is regularly updated and all information is current and correct.
Other daily duties will include taking delivery of stock, ensuring the stock room is well organised, making sure the shop floor is presentable, well stocked and the agreed merchandise displayed appropriately. Printing of personalised shirts in accordance with sales and performing periodic price audits also form part of this role.
Throughout the year you will also be required to support the Retail Manager at specific events and with the set- up, smooth running and close down of the retail hub and any pop-up shop opportunities.
Candidates applying for this role will need to be approachable, friendly and willing to adapt to th changing demands of a busy retail environment. A natural flair for sales and customer service, IT skills and a good level of numeracy and literacy skills are all essential.
The successful candidate will report into the Retail Manager and will be employed on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week, usually Tuesday to Saturday inclusive of home matchdays.
