Moon Intelligence are looking for a research analyst with huge passion for Bundesliga 1 & 2 (combined role) to join our team.
We are looking for an analyst with exceptional knowledge of the German Bundesliga 1 and 2 teams, players, tactics and league specific intricacies.
About the German Bundesliga 1 & 2 Research Analyst role
The role involves:
Producing previews for all matches in Bundesliga 1 & 2 (including domestic cup and UEFA competitions involving Bundesliga 1 and 2 sides) to our set template. Previews are to be published by 8 AM (UK time) on the day of the games. The analyst is expected to research and provide information such expected line-ups, key player information and team approaches. If key information comes out after the previews are published, the analyst is expected to provide updates
Confirming line-ups. Once the starting 11s are announced for all matches, the analyst is expected to confirm any changes from their predicted 11s and if they expect anything different from their previews.
Providing xG in-play data. During the games, the analyst is expected to watch and collect xG data for first half of games in Bundesliga 1 & 2 (2 games max at a time). Training will be provided.
Working weekends and evenings is essential to the nature of the Bundesliga 1 & 2 fixture calendars
The role can be home-based or office-based
The role can be full-time (if based in London) or as a consultant. Monthly payment of around £3,500 (to be paid over 12 months)
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. The information collected and provided is crucial to our clients so needs to be to a very high standard.
We want someone who is extremely knowledgeable about Bundesliga 1 & 2 and German football from knowing how Augsburg approach games to knowing the usual starting 11 from Hansa Rostock.
The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent communication skills. To be fluent in German and high level of English
Previous experience covering Bundesliga 1 & 2 (highly desirable, but not essential)
High motivation and enthusiasm to watch games and continue to improve knowledge of German football
Exceptional attention to detail
Knowledge of xG (Expected Goals)
