Role description

Moon Intelligence are looking for a research analyst with huge passion for the Chinese Super League to join our team.
We are looking for an analyst with exceptional knowledge of the Chinese Super League teams, players, tactics and league specific intricacies.

About the Chinese Super League Research Analyst role
The role involves:
Producing previews for all matches in the Chinese Super League (and cup competitions) to our set template. Previews are to be published by 4 AM (UK time) on the day of the games. The analyst is expected to research and provide information such expected line-ups, key player information and team approaches. If key information comes out after the previews are published, the analyst is expected to provide updates
Confirming line-ups. Once the starting 11s are announced for all matches, the analyst is expected to confirm any changes from their predicted 11s and if they expect anything different from their previews
Providing xG in-play data. During the games, the analyst is expected to watch and collect xG data for the first half of Chinese Super League games (max 2 games at a time). Training will be provided
 
Working weekends and evenings is essential to the nature of the Chinese Super League fixture calendar
The role can be home based
The role will be as a consultant with payment made monthly (around £3,000) when the Chinese Super League is fully active. (Pro-rota when the league is not fully active)
 
About You
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. The information collected and provided is crucial to our clients so needs to be to a very high standard.
We want someone who is extremely knowledgeable about the Chinese Super League and Chinese soccer/football from knowing how Guangzhou City approach games to knowing the usual starting 11 from Beijing Guoan.
The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent communication skills. To be fluent in Chinese and high level of English
Previous experience covering Chinese Super League (highly desirable, but not essential)
High motivation and enthusiasm to watch games and continue to improve knowledge of Chinese football
Exceptional attention to detail
Knowledge of xG (Expected Goals)
