ROLE DESCRIPTION

Regional talent coach 
to be responsible for the implementation of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) in the development of players aged 13-14 in the Southern region. The goal of the TDS program, together with the clubs, is to raise the high-quality everyday life of young players to the next level by means of player observation and development monitoring, supra-regional and international game events, and the development of coaching skills.
The operating environment of football is professionalizing at a fast pace and we want to stay involved in international development. In the role of a regional talent coach, you can influence the development of Pallloitti's youth player development activities to an international level. Your main goal is to create high-quality processes and operating methods together with clubs, utilizing different player development platforms, expertise and networks.
The regional talent coach is part of the national team function and in your role you report to the top football manager. You work in close cooperation with your colleagues in the national team function and the clubs. In your role, you have a unique opportunity to influence the development of Finnish top football, promoting the player development environment of the youth phase. 
Your main tasks will be:




P13 and T13 player observation in Huuhkaja and Helmariliga, as well as leading the selection process for combined teams 




Player monitoring in league games for 13-14 year olds 




In the southern region, developing the everyday quality and operating environments of potential players in the southern region together with the clubs 




Development of the middle school stage of the Hybrid Academy in the southern region together with the club 




Being involved in the weekly coaching activities of the middle school stage of the Hybrid Academy in the Southern region 




Coaching in regional events for boys and girls 




Player monitoring of national events together with the rest of the team 




Organization and implementation of regional player development events related to FIFA TDS 




Follow-up visits in the Southern region and field evaluations of the quality system 




Development meetings related to player development regarding the Huuhkaja-Helmari trail and regional activities 



What kind of profile are we looking for? 
We are looking for a person with experience and insight into the youth phase of international football. The position requires an up-to-date UEFA A coaching qualification and a plan to complete UEFA Elite Youth A. The position requires fluent Finnish language skills, other language skills are considered an advantage. A university degree suitable for the position is also considered an advantage.
We are looking for a coach for our team who has coaching experience from the youth phase and the top phase at home or abroad, excellent pedagogical skills especially for working with young players, and the ability to create a learning, motivating and positive inspiring atmosphere in his coaching environment. We value experience in developing coaching expertise and cooperation in coaching networks. Success in the task requires the ability to utilize modern teaching methods and tools both in coaching and in developing coaching skills.
We want to give our experts responsibility, so we expect you to have the ability to act independently and take responsibility for development processes. However, you will not remain in your tasks alone, but will receive support and sparring from your expert team, where you will work together towards common goals. Cooperation with the team, clubs and players is important in this role, so we expect you to have excellent social skills and leadership ability. You have the skills to lead your operations consistently in good cooperation with different stakeholders, the ability to set high, albeit realistic goals and monitor their realization, the ability to organize larger entities and the ability to motivate the team and clubs to a significant level-up
